I noticed that the Iron Dome didn't intercept a single rocket the first few days and only now it intercepts perhaps 10-20 %. Partly because it doesn't always need to, but more and more rockets have landed in populated areas or very close nearby. Israel is probably letting a lot of rockets to come in, without doing too much damage and be restrained and restrained.. until you get so many rockets and mortars that they'll attack and do a widescale operation like Cast Lead II. The only thing that can stop Israel now is the Obama administration who are probably pushing Israel hard to mediate with Egypt.

I quit school as a teen and "snuck" into Israel during the Yom Kippur War. I was too young to fight but was trained as a heavy equipment operator, and I hope that I made some sort of positive contribution to the effort.
