A ,   Belgium   (06.23.12)
What more can be expected from feeble defense minister Ehud "creampuff" Barak? Doesn't Israel have anybody who can replace this wimp?

4. You've come a long way from the Warsaw Ghetto....not
Al   (06.23.12)
Weak and pathetic is best to describe the current and past so called right wing governments. Ben Grion would have been ashamed of you all . BIBI GO HIOME>>>YOU ARE USELESS.
5. Agree with #1
Moragh   (06.23.12)
I couldn't agree more and have wondered for a very long time when Israel would get their finger out and do something about the arab conundrum. It's way past time that these muzzies learned a good hard lesson. Hit where it hurts most. Stop the tiddly winks game.
6. The wimp Ehud Barak
macktheknife   (06.23.12)
I'm certain he could easily be replaced. As a leader (of sorts) his days are way past and his little chubby puffed cheeks isn't nice to look at any more. Millions in the world are starving and he's so well overfed..... it's simply disgusting altogether.
7. Your Iron dome is a scam to fool Israelis feel safe
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (06.23.12)
Israeli iron dome, in fact a Glass dome, cannot protect Israel from Rockets
8. Gaza rockets: This is the most terrible
DT ,   TA Israel   (06.23.12)
inditment of Zero Israeli leadership and it's Defense Minsiter and government. If Cast lead had been properly this would not be happening nor would it happen if there had been no withdrawl from Gaza. Stop appeasing the US and listening to Dennis "Floss"
9. Israel squints towards US State Dept. too much

Nobody likes the loser and pat on the shoulder from Bambi the Hutu won't change it

11. What in the world are we waiting for?
Ashkelon   (06.23.12)
12. Cast Lead II in the making
David ,   Stockholm, Sweden   (06.23.12)
I noticed that the Iron Dome didn't intercept a single rocket the first few days and only now it intercepts perhaps 10-20 %. Partly because it doesn't always need to, but more and more rockets have landed in populated areas or very close nearby. Israel is probably letting a lot of rockets to come in, without doing too much damage and be restrained and restrained.. until you get so many rockets and mortars that they'll attack and do a widescale operation like Cast Lead II. The only thing that can stop Israel now is the Obama administration who are probably pushing Israel hard to mediate with Egypt.
13. I know it sounds like incitement but
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (06.23.12)
are we going to wait till someone gets killed by a rocket before attacking as we should?
14. Here we are in LA (TA) and Mexico is bombarding San Diego
Michal ,   Tel Aviv   (06.23.12)
15. Apparently
Liz Harris   (06.23.12)
the Gazan Rocketeer Club has changed tactics meaning that the usual methods the IAF have employed no longer works. The pressure will be on Netanyahu to launch another Cast Lead, but reports are there is a sizeable chunk of the Israeli military that fear that this escalation will result in hundreds of casualties, and possibly lead to the involvement of the Egptian military.
16. cringing like a battered wife
Steve ,   USA   (06.23.12)
I quit school as a teen and "snuck" into Israel during the Yom Kippur War. I was too young to fight but was trained as a heavy equipment operator, and I hope that I made some sort of positive contribution to the effort. I cannot say that I would allow my son to do the same today. It would appear that large swaths of Israel have been sacrificed to the enemy for a quasi peace in Tel Aviv and the North. After all this time Israel elects to still suffer through endless bombardments from Gaza, and then offer up a tepid response. I have seen the brutality of war, however it is sometimes preferable than an endless low level confrontation, with terrorists dictating the initiative Clean out the rats nest once and for all. Syria shows us that the UN and other Israel haters will ultimately do nothing to stop it. Give one big fat ultimatum and then do it. Othewrwise we will be reading about missiles from Gaza in ten years to come.
17. On the brighter side of Egypt...
Bad Ased Jew ,   United States   (06.23.12)
their military just fired all of the parliament, (the majority being Brotherhood members) took the powers from the 'presidency' so, no matter who wins, the the people lose. However, the Egyptian military knows no more US $$ will come if the peace isn't kept as before with Mubarak.
18. David I agree with you.
Bad Ased Jew ,   United States   (06.23.12)
Israel's restraint is due to obama's insisting Israel end Cast Lead early as a 'gift' just after he was elected. That 'gift' wasn't to Israel it was to the one obama bows to, his king, the saudi king. No US President has 'bowed' to any king since Thomas Jefferson, who initiated the handshake instead of bowing. Most likely, ( Please G-d !) Romney will be elected and then, watch things change on a dime. American's are sick to death of the amateurish behavior costing America near everything with his bungling and ignorance. You nailed it. Good news though, whatever obama touches seems to be turning to shit.
19. It's frustrating!!!
Jake Stone ,   USA   (06.23.12)
Sitting here in America and watching the poor people of Israel having to go through this. I wish Netanyahu would tell Obumma and our anti-Semitic State Department to get lost! He first needs to fire that punk, Barak, and find a real DM; then, proceed to wipe Gaza out, and any other outside party that wants to cause trouble. It's a shame, the State won't protect their people--unbelievable! Praying God protects the Israeli people!
20. Qte: Hamas - we won't let Israel destroy our spirit" unqt
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (06.23.12)
Hamas: we won't let Pali's destroy Israel's spirit......
21. #9 ab
Liz Harris   (06.23.12)
Israel has to squint towards the State Department. With income from the American taxpayer central to the survival of the Jewish State and the as yet unreported consequences of the worldwide recession on the Israeli economy. It is possible that instead of the Israeli Prime Minister telling the American President how high to jump. The positions are about to be reversed as the BDS campaign takes hold, and Israel's banks no longer can borrow on the international markets at favourable rates.
22. Israel
Eric ,   nyc   (06.23.12)
is not even fighting back this time...pathetic!
23. 90% of gazaans are refugees.
X   (06.23.12)
Israel was built on their land. Give them their land and go back to your countries. They will stop fighting.
24. Let us not forget for a moment: The attacks against Israel
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (06.23.12)
and its civilian population, contrary to all relevant elements of international law and all relevant bilateral agreements, are carried out from a territory that is part of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)'s Palestinian Authority; the same area the "moderate" Mahmoud Abbas demand to be part of an independent state. If the Arabs can't live by existing international laws and bilateral agreements, on what basis would anyone recognize their right to have an additional state between the Jordan River and the Med. Sea, but for the most cynics among world powers and their leaders..., Mr. Obama, sadly, included!!
25. Israel Needs to Defend Itself Properly
emanon ,   USA   (06.23.12)
I am normally a restrained person, but Israel is being too mellow. Real retaliation is called for. I am sorry that young boy died, it should have been actual arab terrorists that got eliminatef! That's what is needed: heavy retaliation against known terrorstinian staving areas.
26. # 13 Barbara, sadly yes.
Bad Ased Jew ,   United States   (06.23.12)
Either that or, wait for more Gaza attacks on Israel combined the loss of the election of obama who tied israel's hands with Israel's agreement, to end "Cast Lead" early - sound like a theme here? Good thing G-d chose Israel, we American's made one huge mistake with obama but, it isn't over yet, " fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me." I pray that Romney wins for everyone's sake. Shalom.
27. # 15 Liz Fear not
Bad Ased Jew ,   United States   (06.23.12)
The next installment of "Cast Lead" is coming soon to a theatre near you. Hamas is doing everything possible to start a war with Israel feeling secure with their ally, obama while he remains in office he was the one who squeezed israel into ending "Cast Lead" early. No one knows the future but, one thing is certain, Romney is a friend to Israel, obama bowing to a saudi king while 'demanding " Israel give up her land for the sake of the saudi oil is not. I'm voting for Romney, hope the majority of Americans will too. Things change on a dime. It's a powder keg over there, arab nations are shifting, at war with their on people and with one another.
28. Your right.
Bad Ased Jew ,   United States   (06.23.12)
Israel's best chance to end the Gaza rocket raids is Romney. It was obama that insisted Israel end Cast Lead early. Look at it now.. oy!
29. One cure, vote for Romney!!
Bad Ased Jew ,   United States   (06.23.12)
Romney doesn't bow down to saudi kings. Romney wont 'insist' that Israel end Cast Lead 11 early. Thank the G-d of Israel that He chose Israel, the players you listed have not but, this too shall pass. Who would have thought pre 1948, that there would be an Israel except for the wandering Jews?? Faith man, faith. Little David was small but oh my!!!
30. # 21 Liz Harris do you live in a cave?
Bad Ased Jew ,   United States   (06.23.12)
Perhaps you missed Bibi's statement some time ago, that if America's $$ was withheld, Israel already had that covered?? It was the US Congress and Representatives who insisted that Israel take the money of which 80% goes to the defense workers who build Americas great weapons. Next time you hope to engage in a battle of wits, come prepared, you embarrass yourself. LOL, good for a cheap laugh though, on you. Two more obvious omissions from you, 1- Israel's economy is terrific. 2-obama will lose. no wonder you pond scum lose.
