In the whole world the big towns have their suburbs , wich are integrated physically to the "center" . When you drive from my town to Tel Aviv , it's almost COMPLETELY build up , the same in other directions . Because of local "politics" those megapoles can't be united . All the local politicians would lose their advantages .
34. TA is not the way it is because of Ron Huldai
zionist forever   (06.24.12)
" The time may have come for Tel Aviv mayor Ron Huidai - despite the reservtions about some of his actions - to finally advance to a national level of the political game. After all, this man is our first practicl PR chance since Bar Rafaeli " Tel Aviv is a product of its own making, its like a secular version of Jerusalem. Talk about Israel to non Jewish foreigners and the only two places most are likely to have heard of are Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and its been that way for decades. Its attracted alot of foreign investment because its the countries biggest city and capital of business not because anything the mayor has done. As far as Tel Aviv being Europe's main technology hub, there might be alot of start ups there but its israel as a whole thats the technology hub. Tel Aviv might be where the company has its offices for the most part the plants where the real work is done is in much cheaper outlying cities. For some reason gays have always been attracted to Tel Aviv although in recent years the Tel Aviv tourist board ( not the mayor ) has been making a big effort to promote the city to the gay market which is increasing interest it as a destination for gays. Huldai is also not the PR man for Tel Aviv, he is just the mayor and the cities fame does the PR work. This article sounds like it was written by Ron Huldai's election campaign manager.

Also living in London, I much prefer Tel Aviv. London has better shops. But Tel Aviv has a better atmosphere, better weather, and beaches!
