1. Thanks Obama
John T   (06.25.12)
Thanks Obama, you replaced secular Mubarak and installed the Brotherhood ! And liberals & peaceniks will shortly see mushroom clouds over Tel Aviv from Iranian nukes, while Obama still talks of sanctions and "all options are on the table".
2. Now it starts!
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (06.25.12)
Expanding ties with Iran, is a bold political move. Iran is a taboo trade partner, with most of the world. Choosing to expand trade with Iran, is a declaration of siding with the Iranian regime, becoming an ally. The enemy of my enemy, is my friend. The friend of my enemy, is also my enemy. I wonder how this move will affect the millions of US aid dollars, flowing into Egypt? Why should an Islamic Egypt, aligned with terrorist Iran, receive American aid?
3. You can kiss your peace treaty goodbye
Al   (06.25.12)
Begin was suckered by Sadat and Carter to give up the Sinai with its oli and strategic value. Begin a small foolish man who was all about himself and his honour\, much like what you have with Netanyahu today. The right wing have proven to be the greatest liability to political Israel over the past 36 years and it clearly shows. I am convinced that Israel is in dire straits,,,no leadership no direction...a ship without a rudder.
4. There goes the neighborhood.
B ,   Israel   (06.25.12)
5. Finally..some good news
Arash ,   Tehran-Iran   (06.25.12)
This is only the beginning. Stay tuned for even more( Next move would probably be us opening embassies in our countries). Our brothers in egypt have chose the right path.
6. It will be a Strategic Front
Susya Bar Dror ,   Israel   (06.25.12)
Egypt with Iran. Including iranian military basis in Sinai and a port for the iranian navy. With missiles aimed at Israel and massive support of the terror organisations Hamas and Hitzpollah.
7. #6 You hit it right on the nose.
Silky ,   Silkeborg, Denmark   (06.25.12)
8. Mystery who financed Bambi's studies clears up..
ab   (06.25.12)
9. #5 are you certain?
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (06.25.12)
The Brotherhood has two options, you don't know which one they will take. They could join you in an anti-imperialist revolution, clean the Middle-East of the American crusader and share the oil wealth with the whole Umma. On the other hand, they could join the Saudis and Americans to get rid of the Christians, Persians and Jews. Considering that the Americans and Saudis will give the Brotherhood both money and the Jew's head on a platter, I don't think you should celebrate yet. I think you should wait with your celebration until
10. #5 yah right!
Iranian Jew ,   LA   (06.25.12)
Thanks for the jokes and the laughs! Do you ever see anyone interested in migrating to Iran? I don't. But all Muslims love to migrate to Europe or USA. Do you know why? Because they want opportunities to make money and live free. What does Iran have to offer to anyone? Suicide belts and public lashing? Come one, get real!!
11. Now Egypt wants a nuclear weapon too?
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (06.25.12)
Obama might as well send them the blue prints. I hope Obama's true colors are coming to light in the voting Jewish community in the United States. Heaven forbid that this incompitant is voted back into office.
12. #1 - A reality check for John
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (06.25.12)
Your irrational hatred for Obama blinds you to the reality that regardless who was President there was NOTHING the US could do to prevent the MB from replacing Mubarak, NOTHING! The PEOPLE of Egypt hated Mubarak and a majority like the MB, so you are just stuck with the result. Note that ALL the post colonial puppets are going to be replaced by popular Muslim leaders and there is ZERO the US can do to prevent that fact. Even if Romney wins in November, he will be completely unable to stop the changes in the ME. Israel's neighborhood is changing, get used to it.
13. The free will is better than corruption and tyrants
Yousef ,   Palestine ,Hebron   (06.25.12)
The people of Egypt choose the free will , and Morsi represent this will , i wonder from the comments why they like the corruption and dictatorship of Mubarak .Democracy is better .
14. This election along with the predicable
Paul ,   Jerusalem   (06.25.12)
results of the 'Arab uprisings' has put the final nail in the coffin of the God of Democracy and it's limitation as a social alternative to reality. Democracy has simply become a bunch of wolves arguing over how to snare their next victim. The rise of Islam = a rise in violence, both against each other and the world, just as any clear thinking person can see. No one will be able to destroy Islam, but it will destroy itself.
15. Looks like Israel is going to have to work harder
Liz Harris   (06.25.12)
at maintaining ties with Egypt than just getting AIPAC to threaten to cut Egypt's don't attack Israel money. Doesn't bode well for the continuing siege of Gaza either, and just imagine if Morsi also points out the lack of a Palestine which is part of the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt. Wonder if Putin will take the opportunity to visit Egypt and be the first head of state to visit Cairo since Morsi became President. It is just like the late 60's all over again.
16. time to knock out Iran
Amos T   (06.25.12)
time to knock out Iran immediately instead of waiting for Obama or P5.1 which will never occur.
17. Turkeys voting for Xmas
Tzimmes ,   London U.K.   (06.25.12)
Just as Gazans voted for Hamas and Iranians voted for the Ayatollas the Egyptians have voted for the Brotherhood. All these regimes have one thing in common,Failure. Failure of the economy, failure of tourism, failure of business, failure of creativeness, failure of world participation, unless you count Venezuela as the world.. These regimes are destined to continue to fail having dragged their voters willingly back to the middle ages. The only cement in their edifice is hatred and primitive behavior. Fear not Israel these fanaticals are destined to fail and self destruct.
18. #13 You Palestinians in West Bank
Yaara ,   Israel   (06.25.12)
might have most democracy from all Arab countries. Even in Gaza Hamas wants to forse islamic laws on the people, and there is nothing democratic in Sharia law. In Iran, I'm sure that people wanted more then shah and what they got? Ayatolah and sharia law. It makes me laugh how Iran's government support Egypts fight for democracy but there is nothing democratic in Iran.
19. TBers have 4gotten about Putin's (Russia's) ties 2 Iran!
Jew with Cojones ,   Israel   (06.25.12)
Yes, that would be the same President Putin who is at the moment an official guest of the State of Israel. In other words clearly not a one of you has any idea how diplomacy works!
20. And that's what Obumnut calls the birth of Democracy?!
Jake Stone ,   USA   (06.25.12)
Call it what they may; I see it for what it truly is: Evil joining forces, with the sole-purpose, to destroy Israel. It's not going to work! God bless, Israel; praying for the peace of Jerusalem!
21. Flatten Gaza, take back the Sinai,
Reuven   (06.25.12)
and denuke Iran.
22. First they will expand ties, then trade to break embargo
Iranian Hunter   (06.25.12)
Then they will do a guerilla wars with Israel, expect rockets everyday. THen they will use media to potray Israel killing children and teenagers. This is the beginning of the end of Israel i am afraid, there is just NO WAY you can win against Egypt, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan (Jordan i believe will backstab or will be overthrowed by MB).
23. Public Service Announcement: #20 is a USA Tea Party troll!
The Keepers ,   Jerusalem Zoo   (06.25.12)
He is pushing a Christian right wing agenda. He is seeking the destruction of Israel to suit his Christian messianic dreams. He does NOT believe that Moshe Rabbanu (or any other Rabbi) has the right to exist. He claims to be the EXCLUSIVE holder and interpreter of the word of G-d. You have been advised.
24. This is beginning to makes even me worried.
Iranian Hunter   (06.25.12)
Egypt is a very dangerous country, when they say they wanted to be friends with Iran, that means they will stop invading Syria (MB are the rebels). Which means, an unholy alliance is being made. I told you Israelis this is exactly like Saladdin uniting the whole middle east, simply by saying "let us unite to fight Israel", as easy as that. If the current Israeli administration do not join together, smarten up, they will see many fires and rocket soon, and expect many jews dead in Israel. What i believed they will do next is these: 1. Becomes friend and ally of Iran, Iran will accepts it gladly. 2. Assad win in Syria because MB is the rebels, this is pre-requisite of Iran demand of MB. 3. Guerillas with not flag launching rockets and killing zionists all over the world, not just Israel. They can't be blame, these are armies with no flag. 4. Bring down Saudi and Jordan, which are the last indrectly allies of USA and Israel. Unless of course these two submits and joins them. 5. Jihad.
25. Muslims can do as they please but.....
Moragh   (06.25.12)
no matter what, Israel will always be the Apple of God's eye. Bless you Israel. I wish I could offer you more than God's Love but he got to you before I did!
26. Thanks BIBI
sheik rattle & roll ,   usa   (06.25.12)
Israel should of reacted when Mubarak was in power. Israel has done or said nothing except blame Obama. Iran is on it's way to become a nuclear power and all Israel does is blame Obama. Where is the mighty invincible IDF? Where is the vaunted Mossad? Enough is enough, Israel needs to MAN-UP and stop blaming others because all of this Israel wining just shows the world that it is weak.
27. @20 don't bother we have it all sown up on our own!
Rachel Bat Ami ,   Israel   (06.25.12)
Really we don't need your negative energy in our prayer zone. Please STOP interfering in Israeli matters. Please GO fix your USA!
28. Jake y don't u respect ur democratically elected President?
Olivia Zipporah ,   Israel   (06.25.12)
by calling President Mr. Obama names are you saying that: 1. the people of the United States don't deserve to be respected? 2. that you are the ONLY one with ALL the answers? 3. that just as you disrespect the President of the United States, Mr. Obama and the people of the United States...you hold the same desrespect for ALL Jews and Israelis? or 4. Are you just CLEARLY pointing out how insecure and stupid you are?
29. @21 r u going 2 do ALL that 4 us?
(06.25.12)
really no need, thanks
30. Advice to the Israeli govt, as if they need it
R Narz ,   Toronto   (06.25.12)
Get those Haredim drafted pronto, you are going to need the additional bodies; sooner not later.
