Sarah, Although I agree with most of what you wrote I feel compelled to point out that you made 1 small mistake. While the Germans were a conquered people under the Soviets, they were a people who had a land that was conquered. The Palestinians have never had a land nor were not conquered by Israel. They were encouraged to flee by Arabs, and later the area commonly known as the West Bank was conquered by Jordanians (Arabs) and liberated by Israel as per the UN charter.

Since before Bibi was appointed PM (please recall that he came in 2nd in the last election) Abbas has refused to sit at a table to discuss peace with Israel. Bibi gave a 10 month building freeze, and Abbas waited until month 9 to sit at the table and only wanted to discuss extending the freeze - not final boarders or a peace deal.
