I get up early go to work and still pay taxes like a tate. There is precious little I can learn from them. Where is that written in Torah that yeshiva guys must keep all day "studying"at the expenses of other guys who go to the army to protect the country. Their women could have babies( if that's the problem) and take care of them while men go to army. If they defend Torah in govern,they must explain what is their base to such injustice. If they reach to make sense,they could be perhaps understood. If they don't,I don't see reasons for them to receive help from the govern. They can go and live like Hamish ,all of them together ,in an specific town(not spread all over Israel),without govern interference nor help. Now,that's fair. I hope the food in army is kosher;I hope there is a sinagogue ;and I hope men and women are provided of Torah classes . The intensity and interest of each individual gets things depends on each individual,but I agree that the base of the army must be Jewish,at least in the basics. Haredim should adapt and in their houses they can do all betterly, as they please.
