31. #17 Your "facts" are incorrect
Carl ,   USA   (06.28.12)
How can the Torah be against female rabbis when the concept of rabbi did not exist until 1000 years or so later? And it was those same rabbis, not the Torah, who defined tallit and tefillin as "male." Read the shma from the Torah - nowhere do any of its many commandments differentiate between men and women. But it's apparently perfectly OK for "observent" Jews to violate Torah commandments against evil speach, slander and defamation.

That is one of the blessings from the Amidah itself. I did not make it up but the Anshei Knesset HaGedolah many centuries ago. If you knew our religion you would be saying that prayer 3 times a day minimum. Yes it is my and your religion as well.
33. @30 and @31
Yosef ,   Boca Raton   (06.28.12)
John I didn't mention anything about aids in my post.didn't mention percentages at all either so I think you mistaken my post for some one else s. Carl if you knew Our religion and study Torah you should know that the Torah was given by HaSh_m to Moshe, he transmited it to Yehoshua Ben Nun and him to the elders. From there in a long chain to the ANshei Knesset HaGedolah and to the Rabbis of our days ( The real ones not the ones that believe that the Torah was written by man and drive on shabbat). So the Rabbis of our days have been invested in to Torah by previous generation as HaSh_m instructed. Read Pirkei Avos and learn. You can not be a Karaite and think that the written Torah is all there is.

also John what are you preaching to me being a weekend Jew that I should move to Israel when you live in Europe yourself??? So thatn means you also are not a real Jew? BTW Israel does not need help from Secular, reform conservative or even Hareidi Jew outside of Israel. We, Am Yisrael have only one to trust in and that is our Father in Heaven. To put your trust on humans is Idol Worship, all the more so when is this people that do the opposite of what HaSh_m tells them to do
35. @11, two comments
Andrew ,   Europe   (06.28.12)
as a roman-catholic: 1.) "afterlife" in Christianity begins with a christian's baptism. One cannot understand christianity without understanding that ! 2.) Also in Christianity US is a centre of christian reform-movement - so perhaps it's HIS will ?
36. These rabbis....
Abie Dee ,   New York, US   (06.29.12)
Reminding these rabbis to 'love thy neighbors' is a waste of time. As is the reason for the destruction of the 2 holy temples...hate. The problem arises when certain rabbis believe that they, and only they, have a special connection to Gd... smells of arrogance to me and i can't believe that Gd looks favorably on that.
37. Jewish hate
Sam ,   USA   (06.29.12)
I guess I will just keep my non-Jewish reform money in the USA instead of supporting Hate and ignorance from the oxymorons.
38. Is not about the money or hate. You are getting it wrong
Yosef ,   Boca Raton   (06.29.12)
Is about what HaSh_m wants. How do anyone knows what HaSh_m wants? Is in the Torah. This is about doing Teshuva and not doing with the Torah what you want. The Torah is not just any book. If HaSh_m ask you to keep Shabbat and says is wrong for a man to lay with a man like you would lay with a woman then you have to stop making excuses and start doing what He asks for.
39. Reb Shelomo Amar is the best!:)
The Great Khan ,   Kandahar,Afghanistan   (06.29.12)
reform and conservative are bad. Orthodox is best and most modest i even from far away support Shas and Reb Ovadiah Yousaf and Reb Shelomo Amar.
40. Rabbi Amar and Sephardic Jewry
Tim Landry ,   Montreal Canada   (07.01.12)
First let me preface this by saying I am a Roman Catholic - not Jewish - but also let me say that my mom's obituary included this "Established the first Catholic, Protestant, Jewish daycare in Ste Agathe (in about 1949-1950 - not too many years after a certain sign was posted that you can see a photo of in the Montreal Holocaust Museum - "No Jews Allowed". Most of my friends are Jewish - I like, respect and admire you. However we have only - in about the last 20/30 years been exposed to the Sephardic Community. This community has a LOT to learn about honesty, integrity and all those cocepts. They believe in what is good for them today - and as soon as c onditions change, their beliefs change - and they will deny EVER having believed anything else. If it is to their advantage to believe "black" now - that is what they believe - and if it changes and "green" is better - their beliefs change - and they will deny ever believing in "black"
