31. The anachirsts' sea-tide still roils...
Taz Man ,   USA   (07.01.12)
...like the evil that it is...its true intention (the destruction of Israel) lies just beneath the, unsettling, surface of that roaring sea. God bless, Israel and His Jerusalem!
32. The government is tyrannical!
Rich ,   Toronto, Canada   (07.01.12)
Israel is not a democracy of the people, by the people and for the people. There is no accountability in the governement. Israelis only vote for the Prime Minister and the head of a political party. Which ever person becomes Prime Minister all the other members of the Knesset ride to power on the coat tails of that person in a coalition. They are not elected by Israelis. What Israel needs is the following: 1. A new political system where every member of the Knesset has to run for election. They must be held accountable to a local constituency. 2. Affordable housing, which would also mean an end to the outrageous apartment tax. 3. Ending the monopoly of Israel Electric, and bringing more competition in the market to drive down the price. No more free electricity for the employees of Israel Electric. 4. Peace with the Arabs. Only the wealthly elite are profiting from continous warfare. Other then flexing their egos or getting killed, the average Israeli is getting nothing. Peace will bring an economic boom that will benefit all the people of Israel. Like Germany after WW II. It's time to make a change.

Peace with the arabs? Do you understand that as cute as that sounds it is impossible? Do you understand that hating israel is part of their upbringing? We can give them back the entire israel and move israel to USA and they will still find reasons to hate. Be realistic, dont compare germans with israel araba issues. The youth thats hard working is seeing great rewards in israel, every good smart kid here in london wants to be part of the amazing growth of israel, the more they grow the more people hate, kinda reminds you of the history of how its always been with jews, way before Palestine.
34. They do not have an unified goal...

35. Oh! You mean.......
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (07.01.12)
**SOCIALIST** justice. Well why did you not say so in the first place? That's easy. It does NOT exist. You simply want to eat the fruit of another's orchard, without all of that sweating and digging and toil crap. Just another "Brother in law" except without the groin scratching and breaking of wind. On second thought,.......

37. #33, I see you are living in the UK, not Israel
Rich ,   Toronto, Canada   (07.01.12)
The Jewish people of Israel deserve peace, and if the tyrannical government does not want peace, then Israelis need to leave Israel. A few wealthy Jews are profiting from the violence and the rest are barely getting by. There is no justice in the House of Israel.

1) A new political system where every member of the Knesset has to run for reelection. 2) Affordable housing, which would also mean an end to outrageous apatrtment tax. 3) Ending the monopoly of Israel Electric and bringing more competition into the market to drive down prices. 4) Peace with the Arabs. Who are you Harry Potter, you can just wave your magic wand and make all these things possible overnight. The political system I think most people would like to see changed but the politicians who have the power are in no hurry to change the system to drastically and I think the public themselves are divided over what kind of system they would like. Since Kadima joined Bibi in a large unity government strong stable government seems to be less attractive to many. In Europe most countries have a system like this one the only difference is there is works here it doesn't. We have to many political parties and we seem to get more each election and the more parties you have the further the vote is split and the less stable governments are. How do you make housing affordable when the markets are set by the private sector? The government can build some state owned properties for the poor but can't build homes for everybody who is poor Most countries have property taxes and if we do get rid of it where will the government make up the shortfall of revenue? You want the government to spend alot of money on social justice but money doesn't grow on trees. Bibi wants to introduce more privatization but Leef & co are fighting against privatization, they want the public sector to own the big companies They want public owned monopolies. Peace with the arabs, sure nice and easy we have been trying on and off since the early 90s with no luck. Remember the old saying it takes two to tango and so it doesn't matter how much Israel wants to make peace if the arabs are unwilling to do a deal then there will be no peace. Remember when it comes to peace deals we BOTH have things we want out of it and there are issues that we will not compromise on and until we can reach a situation where we can reach an agreement which both of us hate but both can tolerate then there will be no deal. WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD
