They will just be conned and scammed over there.

(07.04.12)
NEVER come back to Israel after they've tasted American life! They'll never use those degrees and military training to benefit Israel -- so WHY is this brain-drain being encouraged?!?!
3. #2 Why should you get to taste American life
Logic ,   Israel   (07.04.12)
and not IDF vets? And statistics show that most Israelis go for five years or less anyway.
4. Once They See USA Is True Promised Land
World Citizen ,   the world   (07.04.12)
They Will Never Go Back To Israel. Why go back to a dry dusty wasteland, run by a mullah-like theocracy, filled with paranoid people who constantly dwell on their "evil enemies" and the Shoa, all-the-while planning military adventures in the countries of Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and Iran? Once they leave they will never want to come back.

11. @ 1 I agree
Sheik rattle & roll ,   USA   (07.05.12)
I agree they might offer IDF soldiers $200.00 a month instead of the $100.00 a month the Israeli government pays them.
12. Missing the point
Tim ,   Brighton   (07.05.12)
The reality is that Military Service DOES give Israelis an edge in terms of employment Once their term is completed they become alot better qualified in the life skills that are as vital as academic qualifications in todays corporate environment... I would much rather employ someone in a top managerial role who had both the academic qualifications and life skills to lead, work as a team, be quick thinking communicate clearly and above all stay calm in times of stress Thats why its so important for Haredim and Israeli Arabs also to be able to take advantage of the benefits that Military Service offers
13. #4. You obviously havent been to Israel!
Tim ,   Brighton   (07.05.12)
Go there and prepare to be amazed at what Israel achieved...

17. That's wishful thinking. Israeli soldiers are too old.
Ari   (07.06.12)
By the time they finish the military service, Israeli soldiers are too old to be of interest to US universities because they are thjree years late on students from other countries.
