It is unfortunate that the World Health Organization and other United Nations agencies have not done their job with respect to infectious diseases in Africa, but it is hardly apartheid to want to protect Israelis from those diseases. It has nothing to do with religion; it has nothing to do with skin color. It has everything to do with public health. If these people have infectious diseases then they need to be treated in hospital. Leave them running around the streets with an infectious disease and others can catch it and rather than having one sick African you have many sick Israelis. Reality here is the hospitals want to save money so they don't want to treat the people they know don't have the money to pay their bills.

on Hawaii. Amerian Yepertheid in hospitals... In the end we had to go to community hospital run by volunteer physicians free of chanrge. ( they pay rent for the building out of their regular salaries ). I heard hospital was closed during Obama tenure because it refused to cover health care tax. I do not see it as a decision based on skin color, but based on origin, and there's no racism in the fact that the states they come from is riddled with diseases, strengthened by the fact that indeed there have been many rare disease cases for Africans in Israel, as the article cites. It would make sense to label them as a population at risk and have them medically examined. They're getting a free x-ray check up, at the expense of the state, so I'm not sure what's the fuss.

The health ministry and some doctors must think that Israel really has the best and richest medical care facilities in the world. The way the hospitals are run -with direction from the health ministry- is the reason there are no superbugs in Israel, and a large number of free beds in all the hospitals. I just hope that when I catch tuberculosis on the bus or train, I will be able to get into one of these great centers of healing. The HM should actually send out mobile units to start checking EVERYONE for these contagious diseases.
