1. some is hygene but some is probably money

Israel does not have a health service that is free for everybody which is why Israelis must sign up to health insurance schemes or pay out your own pocket. The Africans are not signed up to health plans and they have no money so if they need expensive medical treatments then its going to be the hospital that gets stuck with the bill eventually. If your in charge of a hospital which has a budget are you going to want to treat the Africans or make excuses to keep them out? Some of it is hygene because these people very often have diseases that are rare in Israel and don't want them brought into hospitals where there are sick people but part of it is undoubtedly money.

this is the stupidest thing i have ever heard of ... what public outcry? I applauded the decision.. there is nothing racist about trying to keep tuberculosis and other deadly diseases out of hospitals who are housing sick and vulnerable patients...politically correct can be lethal. i am so sorry the hospital buckled... what utter nonsense...
4. Is it Apartheid or Health Care?

I would be interested to hear from medical experts on the various facets of this plan. Also, it is not clear from the article just which parts are objectionable (unless all are). For example, Google tuberculosis + Africa, and you will see that they are in the midst of an epidemic - does this not mean that standard screening would be part of complete and competent medical care? It needs to be acknowledged that people coming from an area known for malnutrition and lack of vaccination / modern health care will not only be more susceptible to disease, but may bring diseases that may have been nearly eradicated in the 1st world, to the point where younger generations may have no natural immunity. It must also be acknowledged that hospitals can be a breeding ground for disease, and those who need hospitalization are, by virtue of their illness, both more susceptible to illness and have less capacity to fight it off. I'm not saying that Israel is perfect or that there is no racism here, but this seems to me to be an attempt to protect the health of all, be it citizen, refugee, or foreign worker, regardless of nationality.
5. Hospital alleviating policy for migrants

Again bending backwards to please the world so they can be treated for free and have an excuse not to be deported We need hospital staff for Our Soldiers not for fake refugees. They will never leave our paradise

People with seriouis infectious diseases need to be isolated.
7. Doesn't anybody see the REAL problem here?
Tahl   (07.08.12)
Which is not whether these pregnant mothers carry diseases and how to cope with that, but rather - why are we letting these infiltrators stay and make babies here? They should be turned back at the border, and those who live here should be kicked out immediately. A few years from now, all the bleeding-heart liberal douchebags like Nitzan Horowitz will call to give these children permanent residency, "because they went to kindergarten and school here, they speak Hebrew and feel Israeli"... And before we know it, Tel Aviv will look like the slums of Paris, Amsterdam and Malmo. Not a pretty sight.
