31. IDF can’t handle haredim
Mordechai ,   Beit Shemesh   (07.10.12)
Excuse me but i must be going mad. i have never read so much rubbish from people who seem to think we, by that i mean the IDF, have to accommodate the Haridim, Absolute rubbish, the soldiers presently serving whether religious or not do not give orders but take and obey orders, those who do not end up in military prison. It is fallacy to say we have to accommodate the Haridim, they are not prepared to acknowledge or accept anyone who does not follow their ways, so they cannot ask that we do that for them. let them set an example of being cooperative, but they never will. the best thing they could do for Israel is go back to America and take the lunatics from the settlement outposts with them.
32. It is not the IDF that cannot accept them
Sagi   (07.10.12)
It is Israeli society as a whole. They are not normative, they are misfits, they must not be drafted into the forces as they will start to demand changes to suit their lifestyle and standards, it will not work. They must draw conclusions and stop demanding that others bow down to them. They can serve in hospitals and other public services, not in the armed forces.
33. haredim suffer more casualties than seculars
david ,   new york   (07.11.12)
its absolutely false talk about haredim "avoiding" danger: most casualties over the past 20 years were civilian, not military. haredim live in areas more prone to terrorism (and ride the buses because they dont have cars). their causualties exceded those of the seculars.
34. 32 Sagi "they are misfits"
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (07.11.12)
Like trouts among carps in unclean water .
35. # 3 is right
David ,   US   (07.12.12)
He makes a good point. People who are not a fit for front line duty can indeed do menial support work. Kitchen duty, truck repairs etc - the unglamorous stuff.
