How can they investigate in France, far from where it happened?
All the witnesses and the cops who first investigated are in Israel. Two can play at this game. A French Jew or an Israeli might someday commit a felony in France and run to Israel. When the French want him, our courts can refuse to extradite him too.
When you are a guest in someone elses country you have to obey the laws of that country or face the consequences.
