then talk our language and respect our laws..these 3 should be locked up for a very long time ...if they did not like what was said to them or how it was said ...then complain ..but dont take the law into your own hands...absolute disgrace...
2. They should be tried and if found guilty,
jason white ,   afula, israel   (07.16.12)
they should be discharged from the I.A.F. and sent to prison for ten years.
3. My, my, my, Jason White...
Ethiopian ,   Israel   (07.16.12)
Do you have a problem with Ethiopians? Is that why you are called Jason WHITE?

Attack on a senior officer is a criminal offense in any modern military. In US they would have been dishonorably discharged from the armed forces and thrown in a military prison. No matter what color they were. Ethiopians or not they should be punished. It is a duty of a ranking officer to correct a soldier if needed. Military is not a democracy, take your orders and keep your mouth shut.

You doubtlessly intended to come across as witty. You didn't. Why objecting to a senior officier being assaulted in the manner described in the article constitutes 'problems with Ethiopeans' is beyond me. How can you possibly know?
6. Let justice be served, I am hoping the pilot is in the right

and the attackers in the wrong. The pilot is a hero. I hope this situation is resolved in a just manner. from the description the trackers sound like thugs who didn't want their names tarnished because they drove like morons on an army base. pretty senseless and riculous, and if guilty, they need some reeducation and fast. Stupid is not the word...
7. This is very unfortunate and indicative of a larger problem.
Rafi ,   US   (07.16.12)
Cool heads should prevail and a constructive outcome found for all concerned. While use of force can almost never be condoned, there may be some legitimate wider frustrations boiling under the surface. I'm guessing that harsh punishment will NOT improve the situation. Can the IDF make 'lemonade out of the lemons' - let's hope so!

Your comment is racist.
9. to #3 I have a problem with soldiers

attacking officers. When I served, no one would lift a finger to hurt one of our officers. If they were in my battery and hit one of the officers, they would have been hospitalized by the rest of us. Black, white, Jew or non Jew. They should show respect for rank and maintain discipline. Suppose they hit someone with their vehicle? Or damaged an aircraft? But I do have a problem with fools like you that look for racism in every word or gesture.
10. They violated the norms of the IDF
Basil ,   Dallas, Texas   (07.16.12)
If they had a complaint, they should have taken this to court. If the major did actually report them for their reckless driving, and that's the only thing that is truly that can be proven, then it makes those men look bad. They should be punished for assaulting an officer on a base. They shouldn't use race as an excuse. If there was racism involved, you report it. You don't assault an officer on a base! I don't believe them because he reported them for something, and I guess they didn't like that.

Try being an Ethiopian Jew in Israel for a few weeks, and tell me who is a racist ..

They should be tried and if found guilty, sentenced to 30 years without the possibility of parole, this was a hate crime with the intent to murder," as being what is expected according to their custom," they dropped the race card for their defense. [ how dare him to call us out for reckless driving ] I did say if found guilty.

I am an EnglishJew not Ethiopian but I have been bullied and smeared by other Jews when I was at school - for being Jewish! How vile is that? I have experienced the arrogance of Western Jews and I can believe these soldiers. Please do not condemn people before you know the truth. Isn't that how people treat Jews? Blaming them for all the ills in the world? Stop and think before you comment please! Do not hurt people.
