1. Too little and too late!! For 64 years the UN has turned its
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (07.18.12)
back on Israel, turning into, practically a pariah state, and ensuring that its agencies, e.g. UNHRC, UNESCO, deal with it as an adversary one. The examples are numerous, and this space is not enough to list all of them. This latest step, while welcomed, will not change our view of the UN and the cynical way in which we view this organization whose time has come and long gone...!!
2. Very strange
Mira ,   Vienna   (07.18.12)
considering the fact that Israel has not been invited to the international counterterrorist talks only because one malicious country tries everything to single her out!
3. Congratulations Mr BenSharia
Moragh   (07.18.12)
Now you are certainly in a high position to tell those other members exactly where to go. But I assume you are a gentleman against the trash you have to share a chair with when meeting at the UN. But I congratulate you and hope you can make gentlemen out of the trash you must work together with. Good luck!
4. He must buy a clown cap urgently.
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (07.18.12)
United Nation's Clown Organisation officers must wear proper dresses for their ridicolous work.
5. Appearance can be deceiving
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.18.12)
I think the jury is still out on whether the United Nations is accepting a genuine expert into one of its most important committees or whether there are nefarious elements who are trying very hard to tap Israel's vast compendium of knowledge about terrorist networks in order to stay one step ahead.
6. #2 (Mira) & #5 (Sarah B)
Devorah   (07.18.12)
Bingo.
7. Sarah: you have it wrong
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (07.18.12)
With a name like Ahariah, they think he is on their side
8. Israel unable to dominate the UN, like it dominates the US
COLBERT ,   Treadmill, ISS   (07.18.12)
...with AIPAC.
9. To: No. 8
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.18.12)
AIPAC is considered to be the fifteenth most influential lobby in the United States. Instead of spouting stupid filth, can you even identify the fourteen more powerful lobbies? Probably not. You're not too politically aware, and you certainly are not in the least bit intelligent. But give it a try, anyway. Your enlightenment may shock you. In fact, it probably will. Then again, learning that the earth revolves around the sun may shock you, so I'm not holding out too much hope that someone of your dim "intellect" can see the light.
10. To: Norbus at No. 7
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.18.12)
Goodie. Maybe he can then tap the United Nations' vast compendium of knowledge about terrorist operations.
11. To #9, AIPAC rated 2nd most powerful lobby in US
COLBERT ,   Treadmill, ISS   (07.18.12)
"From a Fortune Magazine poll of Washington insiders, here is a list of the lobbies that politicians believe to be the most powerful" THE POWER 25 (2007) 1. American Association of Retired Persons 2. Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.18.12)
Old news, from 2007. Can't you do any better than that? We are, after all, in 2012. (Even, then, actually, it was wrong.) Where's big automobile manufacturers? Where's big insurance companies? Where's big pharmaceutical companies? You're five years behind the times and behind a very changed American political scene in Washington D.C. I suggest you do some catch-up study before you post inanities here. Tell me, in August 1945, did anyone care that -- GASP!! -- the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor? And that was only four years after the fact. You'll have to do better, sonnie boy. By the way -- you don't work for NASA. Do you think they might be interested to know that you pretend that you do?
13. figures
observer ,   Athens Greece   (07.18.12)
Out of 7 billions, Israelis are 7.8 millions, that is slightly more than 0.1%. As the 128 Israelis UN positions represent around 0.28% of the 44k int'l employees, Im not sure what's wrong. Except this, it is true that the UN is biased against Israel today - but the figures of this article show no problem.
14. To #12, COLBERT is a Treadmill on a the ISS space station
COLBERT ,   Treadmill, ISS   (07.18.12)
...its a joke, get it? You know me and my info from previous talk backs, my real name is Steve Benassi, I live in Silver Bay, MN, my email is... steve.benassi@gmail.com I am a Computer Engineer, and I am 52 years old, single. Sorry, I could not find the Fortune Magazine Power 25 top Lobby list for 2011, or 2012, I googled for it but could not find it. Can you show me your list where AIPAC is rated 15th? 15th is pretty high up on the list if that is true, but I think you made it up like everything else you say, half truths, and flat out racist rants. How old are you, 12? ps... you are so HOT when you're angry, email me, send photos. Love and Kisses, Steve
15. To #12, COLBERT is a Treadmill on the ISS space station
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (07.18.12)
...its a joke, get it,? Apparently not. I showed you my Lobby list, now you show me yours, but you don't have one, because you made it up, like everything else you write, half truths, racist rants, and flat out lies. How old are you ,12?
16. thats right
nikos ,   Lefkosia cyprus   (07.18.12)
Indeed. If 0.1% of earth population get 0.3% of jobs in a place - there's nothing wrong!
17. To: No. 14
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.18.12)
For a self-proclaimed computer engineer, you don't seem all that competent. Keep looking. You're not much of a computer expert. I do remember you, and I remember you scoffing at my comments about STUXNET. Care to take any of those back? And no, I am not twelve years old. I'm approaching four times that. But why would that make a difference? I have a ten year old who is much, much smarter and politically aware than you ....
18. To: No. 16
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.18.12)
You should check to see how many Nobel Prizes that 0.1% of the earth's population has accumulated! Might just drive you to suicide.
19. Scharia? Sharia?
Danny ,   London England   (07.19.12)
The UN clearly believed they were appointing a Muslim Sharia lawyer. They were never too bright. Please don't give the game away.
