Can any fictional country enter the olympics these days? Jerusalem is the de facto capital of Israel. If they absolutely must point out that it's unrecognized by countries that should mind their own business they could just add (de facto) or (disputed) afterwards but it's just childish to make such an effort in order to avoid having to use the word capital.

Just call them and say you don't have a tv anymore and you wont be paying your license fee anymore. It works in Sweden anyway, i stopped paying license fees to the government propaganda network years ago. Only Israel recognizes Jerusalem as its capital. The whole world doesn't and recognizes tel aviv as the Israeli capital; and this is the raison why all embassies are in tel aviv. As well as internationally, east Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine. BBC is just mentioning a fact. Why would it write the opposite of what the British gov and the international community agree on?

Reading all the comments, I have come to the conclution that the BBC belongs to the Arabs living in Great Britain. The British people should be ashamed of themselves for ignoring the only true Democracy in the Middle East with its Capital in Jerusalem, but because of their population being almost half muslim, then I understand why they have to please those who provide the funding for the BBC, knowing that the British Government is broke, and they need extra money to maintain their welfare State, and all those institutions who broadcast lies and more lies. I like Great Britain, but they should stop taking in more muslims, because eventually they will try to take over the British Government. The official capital of Israel is Jerusalem and has been since 1949. Location of embassies is not indicative of a capital. The definition of a country's capital is where their seat of government resides period. Foreign recognition is not required, nor are embassies required. Jerusalem is and will remain our capital and anybody that doesn't like it can go suck an egg.
