1. Give the Money to Holocaust Survivors
EGGM ,   Petah Tikva, Israel   (07.29.12)
If indeed guilt is the primary cause of these donations, then the money made should go to living Holocaust survivors, many of whom are living in poverty at their old age.
2. to #1 according to the agreement, only

people will be leaving their estates to the State of Palestine. For the same reason.
6. Actually, they are doing it right now
Tracy W   (07.29.12)
European taxpayers are donating money to the PA through the European Union. European support for the Arabs continued and intesified after the end of WW2. East Germany was an open supporter and arms supplier to the PLO. But it's not only the Germans. Other European countries have also continued their centuries-old war on the Jews by supporting those who inflict carnage on Israelis.

Vlad   (07.30.12)
With the beginning of WWII 73 years ago, and with the end approaching 70, more and more of the people who were adults at the time, and thus participated in the war and atrocities, are dying.
13. "safe houses"
Yisraeli   (07.30.12)
Well thats perhaps one good way for Israel to have "safe houses" for its operatives in Europe.
14. interesting
k ,   US   (07.30.12)
so far there has never been ANY Nazi who has ever shown any remorse for what Germany did to the Jews, it would be interesting if it was old Nazis doing this but I doubt it, who knows it is probably people with Jewish blood or regular Jews, I know I would like to donate all my money to the state of Israel when I die
15. It has been announced in the book
Wolf ,   Munich, Germany   (07.30.12)
Jesaja that the peoples will bring their treasures to the Zion. Maybe it has started since right now, the whole book is coming true. That can be seen everywhere in the world now. And when everything from the past has come true, the new time begins.

Riva ,   Israel   (07.30.12)
IF they are collecting lots of estates on a regular basis!!!
17. #5 Tomek
Isac   (07.30.12)
It would be the noble and the right thing for the Polish people to return the Jewish stolen properties and pay finally compensation for the murders and slaughters during and after WWII committed by "regular" folks.
18. 5 why does it not surprise me that a Pole hates Jews?
(07.30.12)
19. Germany and Germans are not Turks
Oleg ,   Israel   (07.30.12)
does not mean necessary a guilty conscious ..Its just shows again and again--that many Germans have what it takes to look squarely at one's own history..If Germans did not do that..then Germany would be a different country --something like Turkey.

William ,   Israel   (07.31.12)
or gas chamber in the entire Israel region, then you'll have a basis for your retarded hate comments.
23. #21 - most nations aren't that old
William ,   Israel   (07.31.12)
and the ones that are, especially with Christian roots, are steeped in centuries-old myths about Jews killing Jesus and silly replacement theories. But, whether they like us or not, they respect us and value our achievements in the world. The real question is - has any country under the "same roof" as Arab Muslims" in only the past 30 years really avoided detesting them? I can name some that tolerate them, but not really respect or value them. Perhaps you can try.
24. Where is the $
Yy levy ,   Tel aviv, israel   (07.31.12)

26. More Germans "find the meaning of life(V.F)"
Dann Daniel ,   Montevideo-R.O.U.   (08.01.12)
ViktorFrankls (one of the most famous survivors of the European Shoa at WW II) studies about the search of meaning in life(or at the end of the life may be here ) should give an explanation to this honorable behavior of some good german citzens of this times .For a lot of the comments in this section i stongly recomend to read one or two books of Viktor Frankl before critisizing freely for one way or other only to make ones mark point of "the others are always guilty and me are a champion of common sense and smart logic thinking" .Good life for all
27. Re: More Germans leave their estates to Israel
verbatim ,   Brooklyn, NY   (08.06.12)
The flip side of this story is that there is also a lot of anti-semitism. I met an american businessman who spoke fluent german and also traveled a lot to germany for business. because he was aryan looking AND spoke german so well, his german business partners let their guard down when speaking around him. he said there was a lot of anti-semitism right out in the open; by these supposedly high-class gentrified german citizens.
