If they aren't ever going to USE them, why do they HAVE them? Sounds like US intelligence sources are trying to divert any chances of an Israeli intervention and therefore not jeopardise Obama's re-election.

It is a reflection of the dangerous incompetance of our boob in the White House that he announces that Assad is acting in a "responsible manner" with his chemical weapons stockpile. Obama's appallingly timid reaction to Syria's threat to use chemical weapons is a tiny fraction of what we get from the Obama regime whenever some Israeli plannning committee bureaucrat announces some procedures for bids for apartment construction that won't take place for three years. And what does Obama warn Assad - he warns him it would be "tragic" to use his nerve gas stockpile against...his own people. No warning at all about his threat to use gas against "external aggression" - a code word for Israel. Obama's ineptitude is going to trigger WW3- is is just this sort of timid reaction to tyrants threats that encouraged them to take the chance - and led the world to WW1 and WW2

There's an old saying that goes something like this: 'Don't believe anything you hear...and half of what you see.' I guess it's something akin to 'things aren't always what they seem.' Be assured, (Ass)ad will use WMD's when he thinks the time is right; evil despots are usually void of what could be termed as having any sense of rationality.
