1. Oh...give me a break...already
Tim ,   Brighton   (07.24.12)
This is the most fabricated artificial un natural ridiculous shallow spat imaginable.. Whilst Israeli Jewish Turkish business, social and cultural ties have never been closer...whilst the ME is in turmoil and NEEDS the clear heads of The Turkish and Israeli Governments to work together...the politicians cant seem to find it in themselves to find a mutually agreeable form of words to put their differences behind them? Give me a break
2. restore relations with Turkey
david ,   montreal,canada   (07.24.12)
there is no need for appologies!
3. Wise move .....but not necessary.
Israeli 2   (07.25.12)
Ask THEM to apologize to Israel before protecting their behinds.
4. They should try the US model.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (07.25.12)
They should make a joint statement that in retrospect, the unfortunate incident did not serve the interest of either nation; that it disrupted the cordial relationship, peace and mutual assurance between the two nations; that their relationship has already suffered enough as a result of the incident and that because of the present realities in the ME, it is time that they put the incident behind them and try to move forward by working together in the interest and security of both states. The person who does not read the statement then stands and endorses the statement and hopes that both parties can find common ground to work together as they have done so well in the past. There is no apology, and there is genuine reason why they should work together AND both parties save face!

Without which Turkey can't castigate Syria about shooting down one of their jets..
6. Good luck with Erdogan. He was looking for confrontation
PETER SM ,   MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA   (07.25.12)
using the jihadists on the "freedom flotilla".As one of the Turkish journalists on the boat was quoted "Erdogan set you a trap and you walked right in". Interestingly journalists from all over the world were on the fleet. Wonder who worded them up?

jihadists went for the martyrdom they were singing about when they left Turkey.Everybody except the apologists for jihadists knows that The Turkish plane was flying legally when shot down and the pilots were not seeking martyrdom
9. Hamas's Khaled Mashal in Turkey for Ramadan meal with Erdog
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (07.25.12)
Hamas's Khaled Mashal was in Turkey for Ramadan meal with Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan, If Netenyahu wants to come closer to Turkey, Netanyahu may wash their dishes after they ate Ramadan meal together as Israel was one of two countries who was not invited to Ramadan meal: 1. Syria, 2.Israel
10. #7: Not quite! Maybe you didn't see the "Jews get out" demos
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (07.25.12)
Those were the Turkish people you comment on! If Erdogan had any brain, after the terror attack in Burgas, he would at least tell Israelis that the Marama affair id closed and Israelis are welcome in Turkey! Maybe some Israelis, not me, will forgive him for sending terrorists to kill and an injure our soldiers, who, after all, are our children! Just like the Brits and the Europeans boycott Israeli products, time for Israelis to do the same. Check where stuff is made before you buy.
11. You Err !.
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (07.25.12)
I Quote - “Have a look at the developments in the region and you will see Israel and Turkey have common interests,” Comment - My Enemies Enemy is my Friend ? Further - According to the Turkish daily, speaking with Turkish reporters in Jerusalem Netanyahu said: “In a region where instability reigns, Israel and Turkey are two quite stable countries. I believe in (our) common interest.” Comment - Turkey is on the verge of civil war, and will soon be crippled. Turkey are soon facing Her Doomsday. Further - He also discussed the joint Turkish and Jewish history. comment - Shame on you for joining the Genoside Turkey. According to a Serbian Prophet, Turkey will change Her Capital to Mecka. And as according to the Koran, "Du-Al Karnain" - "The Two Horned One", Saba and Dedan/Yemen and Saudiarabia in Ezekiel 38., will sertainly help Turkey against Gog and Magog. But will be abandoned in the Doomsday as according to the Koran. I Dont recommend snd endorse the Koran Though. Arn.Sweden.
12. #9 You forgot to invite Merkel.
Obsessive ,   Turkey   (07.25.12)
Table of the terrorists, clowns, hardhearted merciless dishonest thiefs. 5 star hotel ballroom Ramadan iftar banquets (start stuffing with gold plated soup) of the Pigheads. Let them enjoy their only-once short period of life. Leave them alone! Tables of men of God. Faithful hearts full of fear of Almighty One. Never eats but feeds, never wears but dresses still in poorness only for God's will. Innocent poor's heavenly clean table consisting of 3 dates, a bowl of rice and a cup of water. How beautiful the eternal big justice of Almighty One. Let's see the end. Ahhhh how beautiful, how beautiful the raving mad hellfires asking nonstop more and more and more infidels! Ahhhh.
13. How to restore relations.
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (07.25.12)
It's easy really. The Israel and Turkish governments agree that NEITHER apologises to the other. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
14. #10- In case you forgot Israeli's are welcome in Turkey
Ibrahim ,   Turkey   (07.25.12)
In case you forgot Israeli's are more than welcome in Turkey, they have been since 1452!!! In fact, Turkey is home to one of the world's oldest Jewish institutions: the Hahambaşı.
15. Ibrahim - unfortunate not the fact
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (07.25.12)
I am born and raised in Tukey. Unfortunately since AKP came to power more than half of Turks do not well come Jews and Israelis. The anti Israel demonstrations go back to 1970ies when the Bir Gun news paper used to organize.
16. Tayfun, Turkish proverb
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (07.25.12)
You know what they say in Turkey; Korle yatan sasi kalkar - he who sleeps with the blind wakes up cross eyed. So enjoy Khaleed Meshsl's visit. Just remember that He is in Zturkey looking for a place to go after Syria. You may end up like him if not from entire Turkey from some parts.
17. Restoring Relations
Kemalist   (07.25.12)
Both countries need to replace their governments (Turkey more so) in my opinion. This is when there will be a genuine restoration of ties. I hope one day the minds of more an more Turks/Anatolians will become fertile to the seed of truth. The truth is AKP is in power to systematically destroy and divide Turkey by pulling the wool over the public eye! This is becoming more and more evident each day.
18. Recommended reading of the day
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (07.25.12)
I just read an article from Mehmet Ali Birand In Hurriyet titled 'Turkiye de Israil de etkinliklerini kaybediyor' (Both Turkey and Israel are loosing their influence...). I recommend to all the Ynet readers, Israeli and Turks to read. Especially Anton who is surprisingly silent today.
