1. when life seems so bad
ma nishma ,   modiin   (07.25.12)
It is terrible to live in a society or state of mind where death is a better choice than life. Our trying to live life based on images of the USA brings us closer to their value system than our own Jewish value system. Thank you Meretz for giving us Liberalism instead of socialism.
2. Bibi should be ashamed.
J. Schnapper ,   Israel   (07.25.12)
Since Bibi has become PM, several people have tryed to kill themselfs. When will he realize that, the social problems in Israel, are also importent.
3. Idiotic political comments
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (07.25.12)
Maybe some of these articles should be delivered in video format, as many comments sounds like the readers are living in a movie! A disturbed women 'apparently' tried to drown her kids, and this has now been linked to Bibi or Meretz? Sorry, but I think life is more complex than that, and that goes for the guy in TA who killed himself too. By all means clutch at straws, if one is desparate in trying to find fault with our government, but try & have compassion for people who are not made from straw, and probably have far more deeper motives for their sad actions than a political opportunist would be able to guage.

Yoel ,   Israel   (07.25.12)
Why are these kind od incidents on the increase? Is the Gov "care a dam" attitude never going to change- these are people in distress who need help. Do something about it or resign, if you can't handle the pressure.
5. Why Blame Bibi ?
J McKinlay ,   israel   (07.25.12)
People should start to think a little bit more before bringing children into the world. The only one to blame here is the parents ! . Dont let society run your life if you dont ,or cant afford to have children then DONT ! DONT ! DONT !.And stop blaming the goverment for everything that goes wrong in your life.
6. What on EARTH has Bibi got to do with this?
Israeli ,   Haifa   (07.25.12)
The woman was distressed by her life, not politics. You need to be asking her husband and her home life, not blaming Bibi! sheez! how dumb!!!
7. #4 Absurd
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (07.25.12)
No matter what Bibi does or doesn't do, Israel will always have a certain number of "people in distress". Every country has. No government can fit its entire population under a life-proof security umbrella. Some will always fall by the wayside. That isn't the government's fault - that's life.
8. Good and Evil
Adam Neira ,   Paris, France   (07.25.12)
Well done to the people from this Haifa Municipality patrol crew. This incident as well as the terrible self immolation acts in the Holy Land recently show that within very close proximity to each other downwardly spiralling vortices that lead to death can exist right next to spiritually uplifting thermals that lead to life.
9. Perhaps ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.26.12)
... if so much of Israel's social services budget and personnel were not given over to taking care of the illegal aliens from Africa, there would be more money for Israelis in need and more people available to focus on their issues.
