I am all for raising taxes on luxury items especially cigarettes which also are harmful. I think Israel has grown to be a really well cared for country because of the large budget. Compare to Los Angeles where I come from which rarely does any new public work and cares little about the welfare of its citizens. The average tax is about 6%. I support higher luxury taxes and lower taxes on basic foods.

And when everyone stops smoking & drinking, do you think that'll be the end of that "tax"? No, then they'll have to tax something else, & when we stop using that, then something else.
