When you read what it says, the word usage makes it seem like Israel is VIOLATING arab rights at all turns, including history (or the revision-thereof). It is ISRAEL VERSUS the arabs and not vice versa, which is the actual truth.

Although brought up on BBC, we no longer trust them as a reliable or unbiased source of news from ANYWHERE. For some years now it is recognised in UK that they are dominated by left leaning liberals and are anti-monarch, anti-Israel and pro-Pal. They regularly report minor incidents reflecting negatively on Israel or with a negative spin, and rush to parrot Arab/PA propaganda at all opportunities. They have also been very slow to report the ghastly situation in Syria although non-BBC UK news reporting has had no difficulty in exposing this difficult material. There are also long-running "background" pieces on their website based almost entirely on an emotional and biased reporting from Arab sources regurgitated by one of their reporters - most probably from the comfort of an air conditioned hotel in Jerusalem - Israel's official capital city.

The BBC correction is too little too late. The incitement from its prior description of Israel can't be undone. BBC correspondents and editors use the freedom and security provided by Israel when covering the middle east. They show no appreciation for it. From now on they should have to stay in Gaza and Damascus and place their security in the hands of those they admire so much.

Did I misread your article or are there two different BBC web sites for Israel? The biased stance of the BBC is not mitigated by its blindingly one-sided reporting. About Gaza the web pages read as follows: "Israel evacuated its settlers from the Gaza Strip in 2005 and withdrew its forces, ending almost four decades of military occupation. However, after the militant Islamic group Hamas seized control of Gaza in June 2007, Israel intensified its economic blockade of the Strip. At the end of 2008 it launched a major military assault on Gaza to halt cross-border rocket attacks." Should this not read that despite the Israeli withdrawal, Hamas have continued to launch hundreds of rockets aimed at Israeli civilian conerbations. Israeli reaction etc. etc.... Also, how is it that the references to the 1956 campaign omits to mention the involvement of Britain and France? I see no bauhauses.
