It looks like they have figured out how screw you up on this field too,...
2. Haredi students have gone to Poland YEARS BEFORE secular
Nonsense!   (08.03.12)
Just because you just heard of a group going doesn't mean they haven't gone before. Married men and students have gone to Poland many years before the secular have dreamt of going.
3. #2 how did you manage to fit so much crap in a single post
Avi   (08.03.12)
Why on Earth would you even go defensive by the fact that haredim know little to nothing about the holocaust to the point of covering it up because it interferes with their faith (why would an all powerful god allow it?), Instead of criticizing your Rabbis for their mistake, or hoping this will be the first group of many, you bring this tournament crap. if in theory a haredi went alone once to visit the camps, then it means the the haredim leave the seculars in dust even though they actually visit the place in thousands every year. Retarded argument aside, do you have any idea how juvenile you sound? How small you portray yourself? Grow up.
4. Haredi views
Joseph ,   London UK   (08.03.12)
Here in London some Orthodox schools visit Auschwitz, but most feel our job is to rebuild Yiddishkeit, not only visit graves, although we do visit the graves of famous Sages. Haredi shuls of late have organised some visits, but most stick to keeping Tisha B'Av as a day of Holocaust remembrance with speakers sharing their memories of those times. Cohanim, of course, have extra problems visiting these mass graves.
5. #1 - If I understand this article right then it's whoever

6. Haredi student
Walt K ,   Sherbrooke, Canada   (08.03.12)
We have a nice story in Québec, Canada. A Haredi left his ethnic group to join the modernity. He studies in University ; live with a non=jewish woman ; take advantage of what the world has to offer.... Who can say a better story ?

They visit their "sacred" grounds , mostly their cadyk's (tzadik) resting places where they get drunk like those dudes an Israeli Breslov Hassids in Uman. Their cadyck's grave is being taken care of by local paid by them caretaker but the rest of the cemetery is invisible, covered by weeds and bushes.
