The air force continue to get their expensive toys but the ground forces and especially the navy are expected to make do with old so the air force can have the new. Already the number of planned Merkava tanks & Namer APCS has been cut back. Protection systems will not be fitted to all tanks & APCS as originally planned meaning the crews of the vehicles who don't have it are going to be vunerable to anti tank rockets just like they were in Lebanon ( lessons are never learned ). The navy whose most modern ships are 20 years old and the rest of the fleet 30-35 years I imagine will not be getting their new boats as originally planned. We are heading towards creating another Lebanon like situation where over a decade of budget cuts meant the IDF was using outdated equipment & Hezbollah got the latest Russian missiles. Reserve training was cut right down after the war a great emphasis was we must start training up the reserves again but once again that attitude is changing to save money. Well at least sometime soon the IDF will have to find the money to take in thousands of haredi they do not want at all.

dont feel bad obamas massively cutting americas defense budget as well. in the meantime hes been pouring taxpayer money into the brotherhood and their "revolutions"..... all in all it doesnt bode well for anyone with a brain

Stupid idea, instead cut the budget of the Knesset members salaries, and the Prime Minister's salaries, cut their perks. Cut salaries of Ceo 's of companies that are also partially owned by the gov, too
