BLAH BLAH BLAH , Israel does not need the US to " bail us out " and " begging for forgiveness " ??? you must be DELUSIONAL .
32. Crazy
Kordo ,   Tampa, FL   (07.30.12)
No disrespect towards the vast majority of the people of Israel intended, but you folks have to get rid of the psychopaths running your government. I hate to be the guy to lay this on you, but you are not an ally, you are a client-state. Without our financial & military largess, you're done for. No one here in America wants to see you get hurt, but you're really not helping us to keep you alive. Endless land-grabs, military actions, and diplomatic moves that would embarrass Hugo Chavez? Guys, please chill!
33. Mitt's promise to Israel
Jerryball ,   San Francisco, USA   (07.30.12)
Wonder how Netanyahu's right-wing rear felt with Mitt's right-wing lips planted squarely dead center? Reminds me of the election in 1964 when Goldwater ran against LBJ. Goldwater had stated that he would unequivocally atomic bomb Russia. We had the choice of voting for a radical atomic bomber against U.S. interests and a bombastic career politician. We chose the second choice. Seems our choice is, once again, for the moderate politician with Mitt trying to instigate the End of Days Rapture against our wishes. Very cavalier of the draft dodger of Viet Nam to suggest war. His five sons would make competent cannon fodder, but don't volunteer my progeny, Mitt.

37. Israel, West need romney in White House
John Miller ,   Millersville, USA   (07.30.12)
Unfortunately, no we don't. Anyone who antagonizes war should not be in any type of power -romney will tell anyone what they want to hear. If not provoked, Israel will be alone.
38. Romney
David Goldberger ,   cooper city,fl usa   (07.29.12)
Mr Rosenfeld tells too many lies to refute. H e must Fox noise.Romney has run a campaign of lies and is just a tool of the neo cons that dragged the US into two useless wars.Remember it was Eisenhower that threatened Israel in 1956 and Nixon told Golda that if Israel attacked first in 1973 he would not supply Israel with "a nail according to Kissinger. The right wing has waged war of lies against Pres, Obama for four years. They hate the fact that he is black so keep up a campain of lies so that they let rich white people write the tax laws.T GOP never cared about Israel and Romney does not care about Israel at all.
39. Ball and Chain
Bill S. ,   Chicago, IL   (07.29.12)
Israel is like a ball and chain around America's neck.
40. Israel, West need Romney in White House
Andrew Smith ,   Kitchener Canada   (07.29.12)
Romney doesn't stand a chance in the upcoming election. He's anti-gun, pro choice, issues Obama knows to stay the hell away from. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgZ6AuHnmk0

Iran with nukes...aren't you smart, im embarassed your from the same country as I am...it feels like appeasement that reaks of chamberlain at the onset of WWII nooooo dont do anything theyre good people etc...sad...sad i can't believe people are willing to look past these loonies in tehran as good people
42. ROMNEY
rmanuto ,   Fresno, USA   (07.30.12)
Re the opinion piece that Israel needs Romney in the White House the writer is delusional. The American people are reluctant to start another war; it has been fighting on at least two fronts for over ten years at great cost and little results. When running for election most will promise the moon. Israel cannot afford to think Romney is any different. All one need do is track the radically shifting positions during the nomination run.
43. Isreal is not the responsibility of the US
Mike Kendall ,   USA   (07.30.12)
Isreal is the responsibility of Isreal. Manage your own neighbors, pay for your own military. Stop taking handouts from a country that is in the middle of a significant financial crisis as is the rest of the world/'s nations. The US needs to learn to take care of it's own people first. Mitt Romney is just paying lip service to you unless of course he is planning to use Bain Capital to more businesses, shut them down amd move the jobs to Isreal as part of a shareholder benefit by outsoursing.
44. America needs Israel to mind its business
mb   (07.30.12)
Arrogent article. Way to alienate a big percentage of your American support. I'll think about that when I'm in the voting booth this November.
45.  Israel, West need Romney in White House?
Michael Ritter ,   Santa Fe, NM USA   (07.30.12)
Who is Shaul Rosenfeld? And does he really believe what he writes? This is clap-trap of the first order. If Obama is such an Islamist how do you explain the killing of Bin Ladin or the relentless Predator killings of radical Islamic terrorists being carried out under his orders? I believe the problem for Mr. Rosenfeld is that Obama's long term strategy is too subtle and intelligent for Rosenfeld to comprehend. Or, more likely, Rosenfeld has a hidden agenda and is in someone's pocket. Either way, his "analysis" is a joke and does no service to his readers.
46. Romney is the wrong choice
Shlomo ,   USA   (07.30.12)
I am amazed at the comments herein by many Israelis. You know as little about our politics as we American Jews know about yours. The vile comments about our President not only are offensive to American Jews, they are offensive to most Americans. You not only demean the man but you insult the office. The net result increases anti-Semitism in the US. You only have to look at the comments on American media sites to see that I am right. By trying to influence American politics all you do is give legitimacy to those who claim that Jews control America. Keep out of American politics and we will keep out of yours.
47. If you believe a word Romney..
Jose Luis ,   New York   (07.30.12)
utters out of his robotic mouth, you are in for the biggest surprise of your life. If we have the shortsightedness to elect this mor(m)on as president, Israel will be in serious trouble. All you Jews will be baptized by his crazy church when Iran starts shelling you after he gets the US into another insane war. Maybe Israel and Romney deserve each other if you choose to trust him over Barak Obama, a scholar and an honest man. Good luck to you if rommney is elected!!
48. Bush looks good compared to this mor(m)on
Elias ,   New York   (07.30.12)
49. Israel needs Romney to win
Michael Garin   (07.30.12)
Baloney!
50. #44
Vlad   (07.30.12)
Israel wouldn't mind if America minded its business and stopped trying to force a peace. You want Israel to mind its own business? Then mind your own business. Stop condemning the settlements, end your demands for 1967 borders, etc. And before you mention aid, Israel can do without. It's only 1.4% of the GDP, and Israel can financially lookout for itself maintain its military edge without the aid. Ending aid would actually reduce US influence in Israel. So mind your own business, end aid if you wish, let Israel deal with the Palestinians by itself, and Israel will mind its own business. Deal?
51. The USA
David Asleson ,   Minneapolis USA   (07.30.12)
The USA Needs to be on Israel side. Its the only Democratic country In the Middle East. G_d stated - he would bless those who helped Israel.
52. #46. Shlomo: the 80%-r speaks
Tom W ,   USA   (07.30.12)
This is an Israeli (Eurasian) site, independent form the leftist, Obama worshiping American Jewry. The majority of Israelis are not Anglos, we don't share many the obsessive adulation of Obamao. We know that 80% of American Jews adore Obamao and the anti-Israeli N.Y. Times. Us, Israeli Jews we don't control America: Soros and the 80%-ers do like you who are financing your messiah.
53. #43. Mike: "Isreal" like "Montreal"?
Tom W ,   USA   (07.30.12)
Your inability to properly name the subject of your conniption serves as an X-ray of your sophistication. Care to elucidate us about the Great Obama financier, Jon Corzine who made disappear a couple millions ... but it was for the good cause, for the benefit of your "Dear Leader"... Am I right?
54. Romney is just talk, stupid talk
Barry ,   Boston   (07.30.12)
Living in Boston I can tell you that Mitt has been all over the place in statements on major issues. Even today he hedged his comments about recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital on CNN. I don't see how he can be any better for Israel than Obama.
55. Obama help us
marcelo tuchman ,   RIO,BRAZIL   (07.30.12)
There is no doubt about Obama's commitment with Israel. Gives all the support to hold Hamas,Hezbollah and Iran. Dont be foolished for crazy patriotics,Israelian attack on Iranian nukes has support of US. Why do you think Israel buy bombs capable of destroy bunkers? Its not a question if Israel and US will bomb Iran. Its a matter of when. Remember, the viruses attacks are working. When was the right time, the bombs will fall in Tehran lands.
56. Garbage
Michael ,   California, USA   (07.30.12)
This kind of partisan garbage will make me less likely to support Israel in coming time. Romney would be a disaster for the world if elected, and I don't appreciate you meddling in our politics. Maybe it's time to cut off the welfare payments to Israel.
57. Obama's commitment is to turn the United States into a
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (07.30.12)
a little village with huts......devoid of a military......without a nuclear deterrent.....weaponless. Of course.....he will knock down all the buildings and replace them with pristine golf courses so that he and his menchant of socialist buddies can play freely....as the cows graze...and the citizens of the United States grovel and starve to death.
58. israel need angel to spread love and peace
moe shadid   (07.30.12)
to israelis: stop your close minded and spread love instead of asking for romney to win and you all know there is no president like israel but they need the jews voters ..but let your interest for peace and open your heart to the other side and give them hug they are people like you are and they need freedom
59. #46 Shlomo USA
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (07.30.12)
Shlomo ; I am sorry you have been unable to see the actions of your President and his advisors and the damagfe gone to USA , Israel and the world. Aa an enraged bull in a china shop, with no comprehension, wooden emotional intelligence, he clearly as blind as you seem to be if you can't discern the tragic damage done.
60. Are you serious?
TIM ,   MADISON CT. USA   (07.30.12)
Wow...What Mr. Rosenfeld doesn't understand about the diversity of U S citizens, our policies, and our current long list of problems is both profound and insulting. For him to suggest that we should elect a president...solely to serve the needs of of his particular point of view , for his country is ridiculous. Our relationship with Israel ( and how it affects our relationship with the rest of the middle east, and beyond, is just one of so many issues we face right now. We have always stood beside or behind Israel, and I'm sure we will continue to do so. One way or another...Israel needs to work something out with the Palestinians....both for your sake , and ours.If you think that Mitt Romney is somehow going to be your Knight in shining armor..(or ours) You are sadly mistaken sir.I would not begin to comment here, or give my opinion about what political officials you need to elect to better serve us here in America. That would not be my place. It is your country ...not mine.I find that you feel it is your place to trash our president, and then to say we must elect Mitt Romney because he will better serve your needs deeply insulting and narcissistic.
