I applaud increased ties with Israel but please don't use this as yet another opportunity to scold Israel. Israel is the country in the ME with the highest literacy rates for their Bedouin population. Israel is the only ME country where a Bedouin woman can become a doctor or a pilot. Israel is the ME country where Arabs remain in Israel with more freedom than any other ME country. Raise the bar by protecting the human rights of the Jewish minority in Europe because we are hearing about too many anti-semitic incidents in Europe.

Before the EU starts looking for non existent violations of human rights in Israel, they should consider doing something the violations of human rights in some of the EU nations. Religious freedom come to my mind with the obstacles being imposed on the observance of kashrut as well the observance of the bris ie. circumcision.
