The rights of Israeli arabs is a core problem in its own right and we must do more to make them happier. Ashton & the EU don't like the fact that many Bedouin villages are considered illegal so we got to do something about that like officially legalize them. If we do one day manage to make peace with the arabs there will not be any pats on the back from the EU it will be time to start focussing on the rights of arabs in Israel. Just wait till the EU decides that Israel is breaching the human rights of the arabs through alliyah. The one question i have for Ashton is why do you & the EU not consider Hezbollah to be a terror organization? If they are not terrorists then why do they need all those weapons, why do they kidnap Israeli soldiers, why do they make threats? The woman has less to say about Syria than she does Israel. Time for her to stand down & the failed organization which she represents needs to worry about their own problems and stop trying to dictate to Israel how it deals with its own.

Regarding your "not irreplacable" , open your eyes when you are in a supermarket . We import coffee from Italy , Germany and Poland . Cheese from France [ delicious ! ] Chocolate and beer from Belgium , perfumes and so from France and Germany , cars from different EU countries , and so on . You can't replace such an important trade partner . We need them , they need us . Don't forget that we have , at least many of us , an European culture , that we aree associated strongly to Europe .
