31. #13 - sure, if by Zionists you mean "Arab Leaders"
William ,   Israel   (08.01.12)
It was Arab leaders from each of the Arab countries that whipped up racist frenzy and allowed Jews to be targeted. It was Arab leaders who allowed Jews to flee with their lives, but kept everything else - including billions of $$$ of wealth, assets, and property. There are plenty of Jews from Egypt that now reside in Israel. Go ask them who abused them - Muslims or ZIonists. And it was Arab Leaders who created lies like Deir Yassin massacre and caused waves of Arabs to flee without ever seeing a soldier. Go ask Hazem Khalidi of the Arab Higher Council who admitted to this strategic blunder on the BBC in 1998. But if you really want to think deeply about this - I do consider Arab leaders to be the biggest Zionists of all. It was their racism, their wars, and their incessant illegal boycotts that created a necessity for the Jewish State to exist, for the brains to create ways to protect ourselves, to create an economy that would see expensive energy costs, and hundreds of thousands of able bodies ready to create it with us (850,000 to be exact). G-d does work in strange ways, huh?
32. #5 - Jews would never be safe in an Arab State
William ,   Israel   (08.01.12)
Just look at those who tried to return to Tunisia and Libya. Forget Egypt and their massive anti-semitism. And Pallys - they already stated they refuse to be Israeli citizens ruled by Jews, so that idea is out. No - rather, the music will stop, and where ever any "refugee" is at that moment will be his final destination, with a bit of compensation (more if they can prove lost assets they actually owned).
33. #10 - It's a double-standard that Jews were ignored until no
William ,   Israel   (08.01.12)
and per UN definition on refugees - each person can decide where they want to go in the end. Many "Palestinians" have no desire to return to Israel, to a land they hate, run by people they hate, to an unknown area that will NOT be their exact village of faded memory, and with lots of obstacles for societal integration, even among Arabs who stayed in Israel and worked through coexistence for 6 decades. It's the Arab leaders (again) who are pushing this - using people as pawns to hurt Israel. Some things never change.
34. #20 - stay on topic - do you see Jewish refugees as deservin
William ,   Israel   (08.01.12)
of being acknowledged and dealt with in the larger sense of Middle East peace, since they meet the definition and criteria for refugee status? Yes - or - No? By the way, the Congress also focused heavily on Christian refugees and "others" from Arab lands, not solely on Jews.
35. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE 64 YEARS AGO!!! WHY ONLY NOW???
ALBERTO   (08.01.12)
IT MAY BE TOO LITTLE, MUCH MUCH TOO LATE.
36. #24 - Islamic brainwashing goes deep
William ,   Israel   (08.01.12)
He'll just claim it was Mossad dressed as Arabs who attacked and jailed this Jew. Nevermind the plot holes of how Mossad could have their own jail in a foreign country, surrounded by Muslims who subscribe to every conspiracy theory, and no one asked any questions. He's more of a comedy relief than a real character in this film called life.
37. one milion from rusia are not refugee??
(08.01.12)
38. Jewish refugees...
Abie Dee ,   New York, US   (08.01.12)
The main reason why Jewish refugees from Arab lands was never an issue was because, unlike the Pals, Israel took their people in and helped them assimilate. The Arabs on the other hand, used their own people as pawns. Til this they are still wallowing away in camps all over the mideast. Except for Jordan, they were denied citizenship, education and basic rights. So by doing the right thing, Israel's refugees were ignored while Arab 'bad behavior' was rewarded...
39. Arab States Told Palestinian Arabs To Flee In 1948!!!
Helen Thomas ,   Washington, DC   (08.01.12)
"The fact that there are these refugees is the direct consequence of the action of the Arab states in opposing the Jewish entity. The Arab states agreed upon this policy unanimously and they must share in the solution of the problem they created." Emil Ghouri, Secretary of the Arab Higher Committee, Daily Telegraph 6 Sept 1948. "Various factors influenced [the Arabs'] decision to seek flight. There is but little doubt that the most potent of the factors were the announcements made over the air by the Higher Arab Executive, urging the Arabs to quit." London Economist 2 Oct 1948. "This wholesale exodus was due partly to the belief of the Arabs, encouraged by the boasting of an un-realistic Arab press and the irresponsible utterances of some arab leaders that it could only be a matter of weeks before the Jews were defeated by the armies of the Arab states and the Palestinian Arabs enabled to re-enter and retake possession of their country." Edward Atiyah, secretary of the Arab League (London), The Arabs p 183. "The Arab states encouraged the Palestine Arabs to leave their homes temporarily in order to be out of the way of the Arab invasion armies." Falastin (Jordan), editorial 19 Feb 1949.
40. ISRAEL NEVER KICKED OUT ARABS IN 1948 - Pt. 2
Helen Thomas   (08.01.12)
"[Arab League Secretary General Azzam Pasha] pointed out that they were already on the frontiers and that all the millions the Jews had spent on land and economic development would be easy booty, for it would be a simple matter to throw the Jews into the Mediterranean. Brotherly advice was given to the Arabs of Palestine to leave their land, homes and property and to stay temporarily in neighboring fraternal states, lest the guns of the invading Arab armies mow them down." Habib Issa, Al-Hada (New York) 8 Jun 1951. On September 6, 1948, the Beirut Daily Telegraph quoted Emil Ghory, secretary of the AHC as saying: "The fact that there are those refugees is the direct consequence of the action of the Arab states in opposing partition and the Jewish state. The Arab states agreed upon this policy unanimously..."
41. #35 - it's only too late if final peace is made in ME
William ,   Israel   (08.01.12)
luckily for us (more or less) the Arabs never wanted peace so there hasn't been any advancement for years, despite Israeli offers of land for peace, and other concessions. Arabs and "Palestinians" believed they had carte blanch to milk the "refugee" issue, for global cash and Israeli concessions to eventually destroy the Jewish State, and now the playing field is being leveled. The tables were turned illegally in favor of Arabs for decades. Now, the truth is finally surfacing and people are demanding fairness and an equal final agreement be made.
42. Arabs left without seeing a single Jew?
observer ,   Egypt   (08.01.12)
In 2006, Jewish leaders did not ask their people to leave, but 70% of them ran away from the North in fear of Hizbollah missiles without ever setting eyes on a Lebanese guerrilla.
43. coexistence ? Mizrahim had to be de-Arabized
observer ,   Egypt   (08.01.12)
in a Mapam kibbutz, the kibbutzniks were so racist, the teachers in the kibbutz even taught the children not to have too much to do with the people they used to call Mizrahim. Mizrahim were marginalized.
44. #8 invited to go back live under Arab racism and Islamic Fas
Islamic Fascism?   (08.01.12)
Invited back so that Arabs can again kill and torture them the same way they did before, when they stole and occupied all Jewish lands and properties and forced them to leave their lands so that Arab occupiers can enjoy them? the lands where Jews lived ages before Moslem envaders came and occupied thoes lands and forcefully turned them into "Arab States" and "Moslem States". No one is going back. you can keep the stolen lands where you can kill each other and torture each other's children as much as you want to, like in Syria and Iraq and Iran. We have seen enough savagery from the Arabs who stole our homes.but don't ask us to give you even a small piece of our Jewish homeland, where we have lived thousands of years even when there was no Islam and no Arabs in Middle East but only in the lands of Arabian peninsula. you Arabs have stolen enough from us and if it was not for the total support of European colonizers of Middle East who need your oil and market and want to appease you and if it was not for Europe's hateful culture toward Jews, you would not be able to force the world to accept all these lies and propaganda you promote against Israel.
45. out of 100,000 Iran's Jews, 80,000 were forced to flee Iran
after revolusion.   (08.01.12)
After "Islamic Revolution" when the majority Moslem population of Iran decided that since they were the majority, the country belonged to them, and they changed the secular Iran, which belonged to all its people, to an "Islamic State" which only belonged to Moslems. for many years and still continuing they have made life impossible for all Jews and other minorities. They stole the properties of Jews who were forced to leave the country. These Jews and their children, many of whom fled to Israel are not allowed back to Iran. 33 years of not being able to go back to your country is painful, meanwhile the Iranian Moslems shed crocodile tears for the Arabs who lost their lands to Israel only becuase Arab States attacked Israel and wanted to kill all Jews and reoccupy the land but failed and instead lost lands which although belonged to Jews, but since they were given to Arabs by English occpiers, Jews didn't not demand to have them back.
46. #8 BLIND OBSERVER
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRAEL   (08.01.12)
Be specific, who "Invited them Back" They would be stupid to accept the invitation since they were always treated as Dhimmi's, people subservient to Muslims
47. #13 BLIND OBSERVER
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRAEL   (08.01.12)
Time to ignore you, never have I seen so much BS posted in one forum, Arabs were induced by their own leaders to leave BLIND OBSERVER Arabs cleansed themselves out at the behest and encouragement of their lying leaders Grab a shovel to move your horse pucky away Arabs Urged to Flee from Palestine in 1948: Arab and Independent Sources Document That Arab Leaders Urged Palestinians to Leave "The fact that there are these refugees is the direct consequence of the act of the Arab states in opposing partition and the Jewish state. The Arab states agreed upon this policy unanimously and they must share in the solution of the problem." -- Emile Ghoury, secretary of the Palestinian Arab Higher Committee, in an interview with the Beirut Telegraph September 6, 1948. (same appeared in The London Telegraph, August 1948) "The most potent factor [in the flight of Palestinians] was the announcements made over the air by the Arab-Palestinian Higher Executive, urging all Haifa Arabs to quit...
48. American politicians, priorities and G-d
Larry ,   U.S.   (08.01.12)
Wow,,, would that Qaddaffi were still alive, he being a Jew who rises to become leader of Libya an Arab Muslim country. American, U.S officials worrying about events and peoples 2,000 some odd miles away from their shores when the plight of the black American descendandt of slaves and yes refugees has nor been resolved in the eyes of HaShem, Genesis 15:14 "And that Nation that they serve I will punish",,,,, we'll just wait and see what priorities and punishments have in commom. Shameful President and American politicians.
49. #27 even
(08.01.12)
No one, not even Arabs, wants to live in an Arab country.
50. Observer, Egypt...#13
Abie Dee ,   New York, US   (08.01.12)
Just because you're an observer does not give you the right to fabricate history. The only ones who forced Jews to leave their Arab countries were the Arab leaders and Arab citizens. And in the case of the Palestinian refugees, it was again, the Arab leaders who encouraged their departure so that their armies could push the Israelis into the sea. Stop observing and pick up a history book...
51. You're going to start playing this game too?
Cameron ,   USA   (08.01.12)
Pardon me for rolling my eyes at this YNET posting. Refugee victimhood become so fashionable & rewarding that now you are going to start marching down this sniveling path of rights and reparations as well? Looking for Big Daddy US to make it viable & worth the effort? Much disdain for the Palis working and endlessly milking this angle over the years, and now you are proving to be worthy of that contempt as well.
52. majority when? in the Fifties not in the forties

53. Exodus 3:22" Never again"

"Every woman is to ask her neighbor and any woman living in her house for articles of silver and gold and for clothing, which you will put on your sons and daughters. And so you will plunder the Egyptians."
54. #46
observer ,   Egypt   (08.01.12)
Jewish law does permit some non-Jews to reside in the land of Israel under certain conditions, which can be summed up thus–”must pay taxes and accept suffering, humiliation and servitude” as expressed by Mordechai Nisan of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem who relied upon the law of Maimonides which demands that a non-Jew be held down, that he not raise his head against Jews, that no non-Jews may be appointed to any office or position of power over Jews, and if such non-Jews refuse to live under these conditions then this is a signal of disobedience which necessitates Jewish warfare against them in cleansing the land of Israel of their presence.
55. To: No. 19
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.01.12)
Did you miss the part where the bill talks about Jews from Arab and Moslem countries who were expelled with little more than the clothes on their backs? Where do you get "European" Jews? Oh, wait, I get it! Your hatred of Jews blinds you to the facts. Okay. Moreover -- are you equally blind to the fact that the ersatz "Palestinians" were VOLUNTARY quits, whereas the Jews were EXPELLED? Not the brightest arrow in the quiver, are you?
56. Anna #21
EM ,   Miami, FL   (08.01.12)
My mother's family had to escape in the middle of the night once from Aleppo and once from Lebanon. They have not received an invitation to return.... In fact, a member of the family still has the deed to the acres of land that my great grandparents owned in Syria where they employed a great number of peasants to work the land before they had to leave everything behind in order to save their lives, just because they were Jewish. Do you think we can claim that land which my ancestors paid for, but had to leave behind? Land for Peace!
57. #42 BLIND OBSERVER
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRAEL   (08.01.12)
They saw the incoming missiles, which were a hell of lot more conspicuos than any ground troops that were still hidng in Lebanon when they fired the missiles Anyone that wouldn't run from the missiles would be stupid, I would assume that a brave creature such as yourself would just stand there waiting for one to hit you
58. #51 Cameron
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRAEL   (08.01.12)
Arabs were never forced to flee, Jews were, that's the difference Jews want just compensation for what they were FORCED to leave behind when they fled Nobody asked the USA to pay a single dime, payment must be from the Arabs states that forced the expulsion
