2. Why
GHook93 ,   Chicago   (08.01.12)
Why did Israel release this letter? If Morsi truly reached out, then why make him look like a fool? Poorly played!

Y-man ,   Hungary   (08.01.12)
4. mmm...I guess we are all missing Radio Montecarlo!
Jew with Cojones ,   Israel   (08.01.12)
Yep! This is one that could have been reported by them. (Only old timers will remember that Radio Montecarlo ALWAYS misreported everything) So let's just blame the media and be done with it! teeheehee!

6. face the facts
sam ,   cairo   (08.01.12)
I think there are several faces the policy the face of internal and external his indicates a lack of transparency and fear of their people face the facts
7. If morSi sent the letter, the contents is a
Jerome ,   Basaly, Colorado   (08.01.12)
Lie anyway! If he did send it why didn't he send it to Bibi? Either way Islamist lie!
8. #2 Distorted logic
GHook93   (08.01.12)
There will be no peace as long as Arab leaders send clandestine messages of peace to Israelis in English while defaming them in Arabic. Why should the publication of an official letter make Morsi "look like a fool" (the message itself did not contain a request for secrecy). If Morsi sent a message and then denied the facts after publication then he himself made a fool out of himself.
9. #3 Y-man
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (08.01.12)
Most people in high postiions don't sign their own letters, that's usually done by a secretary or a machine which simulates a signature
10. Morsi sent letter to Peres
Harold ,   USA   (08.01.12)
Who is spreading all these lies. I am sure many bought this fake news.
11. even if the letter is real
Barney ,   USA   (08.01.12)
since when can you trust anything coming from the muslim brotherhoodz?
12. probably the Mossad wrote the letter ...
David ,   Israel   (08.01.12)
13. Letter to Peres
Abie Dee ,   New York, US   (08.01.12)
Even if the letter was truly sent to Peres, Morsi would be forced to deny it because his people would not stand for any type of peace overtures to the 'despised' Israelis...that is what is so sad about trying to achieve peace in this neighborhood.
14. I hope it was real
David ,   Israel   (08.01.12)
If it was, to publish it perhaps wasn't the best move - sometimes the best allies are secret ones
15. Peres never could resist a chance for a headline
adam eliyahu   (08.01.12)
no matter what the cost. This guy is all about "self".Reading his auto-biography was a disturbing experience. He has a history of embarrassing Israel in Egypt. Read about the Lavon affair.
16. Morsi is afraid of the fate of Anwar Sadat!!
Jouko ,   Finland   (08.01.12)
Oh how badly the Egytians are brainwashed to hate Israel so that they are afraid of each others. They at once deny to have done anything with the israelis because of reprisals from fellow Egyptians. Remember what happened to Anwar Sadat. The strange thing is that Morsi himself is one ofthose fierce critics that created this hatered against Israel and now He is the captive of this same hatred.
17. Egypt has two choices...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.01.12)
We can either annex an unpopulated Egypt or turn it into a populated glowing cinder...
18. Morsi has no deny writing the letter it's his aides
(08.01.12)
19. Let's face it, the original letter didn't even contain...
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (08.01.12)
the official Egyptian letterhead. It could have been cooked up in the same place as Obama's latest birth certificate.

Michael Redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (08.01.12)
And if somebody faked the letter they would fake the signature? No?

Michael Redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (08.01.12)
22. No.2, I totally disagree with your
(08.01.12)
appologetic thinking. It was not poorly played because good things make one happy and should be shown to people to rejoice. If Morsi has a problem with revealing a thank you note, it really shows the state of affairs in his country.
23. Lies
R. Brosilow ,   Rehovot, Israel   (08.01.12)
The usual: They lie and lie again until it becomes a "fact."
24. Morsi says he didn't send it!
so typical ,   Israeli   (08.01.12)
That means: He DOESN'T hope for regional peace!!!! What's that say about him and Egypt?
25. morsi letter denial
Dr G ,   Cape TowSouth Africa   (08.01.12)

Salma ,   Palestine   (08.01.12)
27. GHook93 @ 2, consider this a test of Morsi's cincerety and
leo ,   usa   (08.01.12)
ability to lead in his country. Fast and efficient. BTW, Morsi failed, wouldn't you say.
28. #19 Noodles
Moshe of Rockville ,   Rockville,MD USA   (08.01.12)
The state of Hawaii produces official birth cirtificates,so you must be saying that the letter is,in fact, official. I agree!
29. #26
Moshe of Rockville ,   Rockville,MD USA   (08.01.12)
"good for Morsi" Is that "good" because he actually sent the letter, or good, because he never sent a letter?
30. #26 Salma - Nobody believes a Muslim
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRAEL   (08.02.12)
