So far since Moshe Silverman, the man who wanted a violent revolution set an example 8 people ( including this guy ) have either managed to or tried to set themselves on fire but were stopped. It seems the new fashion for people with financial problems has become to set themselves on fire. This guy wasn't a victim of the system, he got the care he was entitled to. Moshe Silverman, he had problems and he was angry he didn't qualify for social housing. Just because somebody is poor, disabled or doesn't qualify for certain types of help under the law doesn't make mean there is no social justice or the government should be taking responsibility for them. He like Moshe Silverman & all the others who have tried to set themselves on fire and failed made decisions to do this and it can't be blamed on Bibi the way Leef is sure to try do. I just hope he is not going to be the new poster boy for the social justice gang the way some of them tried to make Moshe Silverman into with their we are all Moshe protest.
4. And the sister and brother ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.01.12)
... did nothing. Reprehensible. Or were they looking ahead and planning to sue?
5. This while 7 families and rich sit on high horses
Josh   (08.01.12)
Israel has plenty of wealth and ability to get people to work. Just another casualty due to the oppression in Israel of Jewish people by their brothers. ...but it was his own hand that called it quits. A warning to those who would follow this behavior, there is nothing glamorous about this undignified and most painful death.
6. Where the hell was this guys family?

Why has it suddenly become a crime to be rich just because the majority are not? Why don't we congratulate and admire the rich for making it al the way to the top rather than accuse them of being oppressors sitting on their high horses? If somebody has made alot of money can afford the Rolex watch and multi million dollar apartments what is wrong with that? We do not live in a socialist society. Akiva Maf'i was not oppressed by anybody he was poor and possibly lonely but he got all the allowances the state is supposed to give to people in his situation. The fact that somebody is sitting in a big apartment in Ramat Aviv living the life of luxury has nothing to do with this guys situation. In all countries there are rich & poor and its not a crime to be either.

Isn't it the Jewish way?

Now it depends on how they made their money does it not? Look at me for example, being a successful practicing attorney for over fifty years with the same law firm in New York City, you would know the source of my money. I might have made this money from the misery of others, but I did not create that misery, I only had to make sense of their misery.
10. He made a fatal mistake
Ivor Evenbiggergun   (08.02.12)
He should have grown a beard put a hat on and applied for funding to read a book. He would have qualified to state aid a house and a car
