Chaim ,   Israel   (08.01.12)
Sanctions couldn't stop North Korea from building nukes. They certainly aren't going to stop far stronger and richer Iran from doing so. Destroy Iran's nukes NOW!

3. Bomb Iran, make my day, suffer perpetual war, a nuclear Iran
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (08.02.12)
...because the United States is not going to invade Iran, which is the only way to stop Iran, if they do decide to build nukes, which they won't do unless attacked. So all this talk, what is its purpose? To Jerk the United States around, squeeze more out of them, and change the subject from the settlements, and the occupation of Palestine.

Hey, Stevey boy,you are still reading those comic books. The US won't invade Iran. The IDF with 200-400 nuclear devices will create one vast parking lot in what was Iran. These can be carried by sub-launched cruise missiles, as well as air launched and ground-based missiles. So you don't have to worry, and you can sleep well.

There is no Palestine. As a matter of fact if Palis keep sending missiles on innocent Israeli civilians there will never be a Palestine.
6. The answer? No

Next question.

Better not to. I would much rather Mossad continue sabotaging Iran's nuclear program via explosions and assassinations, but Netanyahu ordered it to scale back operations, because he does not want a repeat of his Amman failure. A direct military attack on Iran could generate unpleasant consequences. The Mossad way is the better way. Perhaps we can even have a commando raid come in from Azerbaijan to destroy some underground facilities, but that's absolutely as far as Israel should take it for now.
8. World's Lunatic Left (including ours) is "unfazed" as well:
tom ,   tel aviv   (08.02.12)
unfazed by reality, unfazed by history, unfazed by common sense, unfazed by moral values. They will convince themselves, that sanctions work wonders.
9. iran
spookey ,   birmingham uk   (08.02.12)

10. Sanctions have ***FAILED***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (08.02.12)
BOMB Iran NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
11. A compromissum is needed
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (08.02.12)
between total war and useless sanctions. For example international controll of Hormuz straight to hinder illegal commercial traffic.
12. Is Ahmadinejad about to be
Tim ,   Brighton   (08.02.12)
Arrested? There is a feeling in Teheran that Ahmadinejad might be the answer to breaking this dangerous deadlock and potential conflict! So .Khamenei blames Ahamdinejad publicly for him painting Iran into a corner and squandering billions on a Nuclear White Elephant and has him arrested and imprisoned The perfect fall guy (almost everyone in Iran cannot abide him) he would make the perfect martyr. After all he has always said he longed for martyrdom! Overnight his disappearance opens up the possibility of meaningful negotiations and an end to this game of Nuclear Russian Roulette Isnt it ironic that the man who single handedly has caused so much mayhem for Iran ..by his falling oin his sword could be the one person who single handedly gets Iran out of the quagmire If Ahmadinejad however does get his way watch out for fireworks in the Hormuz soon
13. The real situaton
RC ,   USA   (08.02.12)
The main problem is that some world leaders in their ignorance of what Jihad is, or by giving political correctness more importance, they are incapable of seeing reality. The Iranian leaders have already told the world what their mission is; creating the conditions necessary for the return of their Mahdi, which according to them requires that the world be in havoc. They also want to establish a Muslim Caliphate, but are in competition with the Sunni Islamists on that. If the Muslim terrorists are willing to sacrifice their own lives to cause damage in the name of their deity because they are supposedly promised virgins and luxury in their supposed earned afterlife heaven because of martyrdom what makes anyone believe that those sort of people care about sanctions against their governments. If they are willing to sacrifice their own lives while killing innocent people, why do people think they care about their fellow citizens? In their minds these deranged terrorists think they are doing their people a favor if they get killed by unbelievers thus becoming martyrs themselves.
14. Sanctions DO work.
ben Ish   (08.04.12)
The only problem is they work against Israel. Sanctions are added to the other tactic of "talks", and the combined result is 100% effective in stopping Israel from defending itself, while providing Iran with enough time and cover to complete their nuclear devices. In all probability, Iran already has enough material to produce two weapons. So just keep right on with the talks and sanctions, if you support Iran.
