1. Just nuke Teheran and all missile bases.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (08.05.12)
2. Exactly correct ! Obama & Ashton are fooling Israel
Amos J   (08.05.12)
Obama & Ashton are fooling Israel. Moscow was supposed to be the final talks, but now it seems to be getting extended indefinitely. By the time these P5.1 scoundrels finish their "meetings, consultations, expert-level, deputy-level, confidence building measures, yada yada" and other such time-wasting tactics, mushrooms clouds will be rising over Tel Aviv and Israel. The Iranian centrifuges are spinning non-stop and nuke work is going on at breakneck speed. The Zone of Immunity has almost been reached. Its time for Israel to act, before its too late. Obama, the Europeans and Ashton can jump into the nearest sewer.
3. Iran again threatens extermination of Israel
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has once again called for the annihilation of Israel. Speaking in advance of International Qods Day, Ahmadinejad poured out a litany of anti-semetism for the Jewish State in a meeting with ambassadors and embassy personnel of Islamic nations in Tehran, according to the official state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), quoting from a statement posted on the website of his presidential office. So what further evidence is needed ??? Bomb Iran now or be nuked.
4. Sanctions FAIL !
Ahmed Reza ,   Qom, Iran   (08.05.12)
Obama's much trumpeted sanctions against Iran have failed miserably ! Countries like India, China, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Pakistan are all actively helping Iran easily bypass the half-hearted sanctions efforts. Successful use of barter system, routing payment thru tax-havens, smuggling oil & goods across border etc....all effectively nullifying the weak sanctions attempts. Obama is a liar & wimp, only interested in his re-election. Only fools believe him. Sanctions FAIL !
5. Israel should act as America wont
Frank Baum   (08.05.12)
Did America act against North Korea, Pakistan, Syria, Iraq when they were building nuclear reactors ? No, they just emitted a lot of hot air just like today. Israel acted promptly against Osirak & Syrian nuclear reactors (despite American & European objections), else those Scuds that hit Israel in the Gulf War in 1991 would have had Nuclear warheads on them. And who benefitted the most from Osirak attack ? Obviously America, they were able to throw Saddam out from Kuwait & invade Iraq easily. If Saddam had a few nukes, he would have been the Emperor of the Middle-East by now !
6. I agree with Rumsfeld, Stay Silent & do what has to be done
Mark ,   USA   (08.05.12)
Let the pressure build for another month, on Obama and Iran. Tell him all bets are off after august. After august if obama will not lead. do what needs to be done. Obama will not get re-election if he does not support you in the strike.
7. To 1# Just nuke ?
Nora Tel Aviv   (08.05.12)
Dear Bunnie thinks that`s about video games. Just nuke whaaaaat ? Teheran and "all" missile bases ? Do you know what you`re talking about ? How old are you ?
8. Given the amount of rot that has taken hold of American govt
tom ,   tel aviv   (08.05.12)
I wouldn't trust Obama with keys to my old car...
9. US Has Radar
Mark of Lewiston ,   USA   (08.05.12)
The US has ground radar and satellites and a whole fleet of ships between Israel and Iran that has radar, including airborne radar.
10. Rumsfeld on Leaks
Mark ben Josef ,   USA   (08.05.12)
This is one who was part of a group that proudly leaked the identity of a US CIA officer and got people in Iraq killed for working with the CIA.
11. A strike is too risky for now
Vlad   (08.05.12)
Better to covertly pick at the Iranians with Mossad for the time being.
12. Soon airstrikes will be ineffective
Scott ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (08.05.12)
As Iran moves its facilities deep underground strikes from the air will not be effective, even with U.S. bunker busting bombs - and nobody wants another invasion. Since Obama is a coward, Israel must act this year before it's too late.
13. To: No. 9
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.05.12)
And satellites, don't forget satellites. The United States has lots of those in fixed orbit over Iran. (So does Israel, by the way.) What Israel does have that the United States does not have is that all-important human intelligence. Israel has boots on the ground in Iran. The United States doesn't. Satellites and radar and heavily armed naval fleets cannot give you what human beings can -- that all-important ability to process, analyze and interpret what you hear and see and learn. Satellite photography and radar blips do not gauge the mood of a nation. Only human beings can do that.
14. To: No. 10
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.05.12)
So did then-President James Earl Carter, when he was overheard by a Soviet diplomat telling someone the name of the United States' top spy in the Kremlin. That spy, and about seventy others, were all shot within a month. Your point?
15. All thisbla bla bla is getting very boring.
WikiMiki   (08.05.12)
16. Only the big dog ensures real success
Cameron ,   USA   (08.05.12)
Employ nukes, and you guarantee the world collectively turns Israel into the most isolated & forsaken of states.
17. TO: 14 Glass Houses
Mark ben Josef ,   USA   (08.05.12)
Rumsfeld was part of an administration who leaked with the deliberate intent of doing harm to US interests if it advanced their partisan interests. Carter may have made a mistake, but he did not deliberately set out to harm the country for partisan advantage. Maybe that is too subtle for you.
18. To Number 16
john ,   UK   (08.05.12)
You said "Employ nukes, and you guarantee the world collectively turns Israel into the most isolated & forsaken of states." The world in the past few years already did that to israel, and the more weakness the jewish state shows the more disrespectful the world will get towards it. History shows, the moment the jew shows weakness he gets slaughtered, prior to WWII many jews where quiet, hoping and praying things will get better, we know what happened. By not respecting our history you are not respecting the humans who lost their lives. Jews need to understand that all we have is ourselves and even within ourselves we have few that understand that being nice to the enemy never works out for us. Israel should do all it can to protect itself.
19. To 13
Mark of Lewiston ,   USA   (08.05.12)
The US military won't be caught with our defenses on standby if Israel tries to surprise the US by attacking without notification. Our defenses will at least be on and the Navy won't be caught in port like sitting ducks.
20. Go for it!
macktheknife   (08.05.12)
Totally flatten Iran and strike ASAP Hezbollah until not one are left standing. The world wants peace, do they? well that's how to get it!
21. #4: U must be living on Mars, not Iran
INETFRAUD ,   US/IL   (08.05.12)
You 'fellow' Iranians face among the worst unemployment rates in the world. The number of poor and suffering has risen significantly during the last 5 years and now during these sanctions, they're even outspoken about the failure of Irans gov't and its ability to help create a stable economy where people can work and find jobs. People aren't as dumb as you think (or as you are): the world hears from Iranians themselves all of the time via relatives, videos, correspondence, etc. Things aren't so peachy in Iran and haven't been for quite a while. The sanctions have DEFINITELY made things much worse. Even your psychotic leaders are cutting back on defense expenditures (although, you'd never be able to tell either way: you guys have the most pathetic army on planet earth) and have publicly said so. Propaganda like yours is pathetic. Must be a Basiji terrorist who represses their own people. Absurd. But none of this matters: whether the sanctions work or not amounts to nothing: the bombing campaign thats about to obliterate Iran's ability to use a pea-shooter will most certainly change things for you and Iran. And it will definitely make the world a better and safer place. My advice to you: dig a deep hole and buy a helmet: you'll need both.
22. The idea is to protect Israel, not do damage to the US
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (08.05.12)
So in the end the US will will give Israel the backing it needs, even if nukes were to be employed (small tactical ones), and the timing isn't totally agreeable with the administration.
23. So bring it on
Hamid Dostam ,   Iran   (08.05.12)
So bring it on. You think we are afraid of you ? We are waiting for you Israelis since the past 5 years to attack us, so that we can teach you a lesson once & for all. Kindly stop blowing hot-air and start the war immediately.
24. Rumsfeld Iraq "war of choice" a disaster, Iran will be also
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (08.05.12)
..."Eight retired generals and admirals called for Rumsfeld to resign in early 2006 in what was called the "Generals Revolt," accusing him of "abysmal" military planning and lack of strategic competence."
25. The worst choice except the others
Patrick ,   Paris France   (08.05.12)
Bombing Iran is the worst choice except the others. So go Bibi, Go TSAHAL, prepare for the worst and deeply pray for the best! Israel will prevail against these monsters: NEVER AGAIN !
26. Finally the real unvarnished truth
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (08.05.12)
Rumsfeld is accurate in his appraisal of the US and Israeli's lack of trust with obama as a failing secret giving desperate man who's in way over his head. One thing I can say on obama's behalf, he is consistently wrong on every issue from health care to insulting and releasing any and all ally secrets with the media thereby proving his bumbling stupidity has rattled all of America's allies, both here and there beginning with "We the people." Can hardly wait for november when all American's vote out this obamanation and elect Romney in his place.
27. Rumsfeld?
Smith ,   Herzeliya   (08.05.12)
Hasn't he been indicted for war crimes (aggression, torture, murder, pillage and destruction of historical treasures), conspiracy to commit criminal acts, obstruction of justice, perjury, fraud, subversion, corruption, and the involuntary manslaughter of US servicemen and women? Oh, sorry, that's in a parallel universe where evil men like Rumsfeld face justice for their crimes.
28. rumsfield
samir ,   australia   (08.05.12)
The man who lied to all Americans about Saddam is at it again. What is you DNA structure for you to want more death. A criminal never change and with a zionist background is not a surprise. You lost Iraq and Afghanistan and will lost Palestine soon.
29. There are other means to stop Iran
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (08.05.12)
no one has commented on the fact that without the Iranian oil refinery or their oil plants, wells, holding tanks, ships, etc. they are out of business. It's the oil not just their capacity for producing nuclear materials. How can they pay for anything if they don't have oil? There are other means as well, many of which also have not been discussed. ( nor should they ) If the Iranians lack oil, they lack the ability to purchase weapons, those same weapons that threaten not only Israel but each neighbor in their area and with the Iranians ambitions, US and other ally locations as well. The arab spring illustrates the great dissatisfaction with the arab-muslim form of governance and their lack of any human input or even without thought given to their peoples desires. It very well might be that if Israel attacks Iran the Iranian people will join them in overtaking their country and their own future destiny. It's possible.....
30. Israelis believe in Rumsfeld
TaylorT ,   Earth   (08.05.12)
A true match made in heaven. By all means please listen to Rumsfeld. Whatever you do, don't tell the US when you begin the fiasco of trying to take out Iran's nuclear program. That way all the repercussions will fall on Israel. Iran doesn't need to build a nuclear weapon to harm Israel, all it needs to do is drive a wedge between Israel and the last nation on the planet that puts up with it (the US.)
