1. It Can Happen!
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville USA   (08.07.12)
When the Iranians get rid of The Supreme Liar and his Mad Mullahs, peace can happen. Hopefully, they wake up and realize that the cancer eventually has to be removed before their country is destroyed.
2. If Hoora dressed like that in Tehran...
Charles ,   Paris, FRANCE   (08.07.12)
...I can only imagine what would happen to her. Hoora clearly is an outlier in today's Iranian society.
3. Israeli, Iranian form unlikely friendship
Helen B ,   Beersheva, Israel.   (08.07.12)
The younger generation will save us. Our leaders' hunger for action against Iran will destroy us more rapidly than Iran's 'possible use of nuclear weapons sometime in the future'. Starting a war with Iran = suicide. We must not allow misguided leaders to ruin our country.
4. wow!!!!!
Jb ,   TA   (08.07.12)
Can this be really possible??? oh my god. I'm so excited to hear this. It was a really slow news day until this news article was published!

7. a girl from Iran
tiki ,   belgium   (08.07.12)
Just a normal girl who doesn't strike me as a 'follower of the Ayatollahs. Thank G-d or Allah for the normal people of this world, who want nothing more than to live in peace & harmony with each other, and don't let crazy leaders poison their minds.
8. The Perils of Simple Friendship
Joshua ,   USA   (08.07.12)
I sincerely hope that no harm will befell Hoora in her moronically/islamist run country. People could be put on trial for treason for such show of basic friendship with "The Enemy".
9. I wouldn't mind becoming friends with either or both of them
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (08.07.12)
10. Sea and Sun and Love and Peace.
Michael ,   California, USA   (08.07.12)
Are bozo Ayatollahs and the one hundred self-centered ministers in Israeli government listening? Young people will prevail, will find a way to peaceful coexistence. Swords to plowshares, permanently.
11. I vote Hoora Amin for Iranian President
(08.07.12)
She thinks normal!
12. I wonder what will happen ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.07.12)
... to Hoora when she heads back to Teheran. She's probably violated all 375 of Iran's modesty regulations. Poor thing. Maybe she shouldn't head back to Teheran. It could save her life.
13. What will happen....
Daniel ,   tel aviv Israel   (08.07.12)
to Hoora when she heads back to Tehran, exactly the same that will happen to Ella when she heads back to Israel...Nothing..Point of note Ella has probably violated all of Judaisms modesty, purity, yichud, shabbat laws etc..

Nice to see that scuba diving started a nice friendship. I just got scuba certified last month and am heading down to Aruba end of this month...looking forward to it. Maybe next year will do a trip to Thailand and look up Ella.
20. REGULAR PEOPLE
DA RAP ARTIST ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (08.07.12)
This is what often happens when regular and down-to-earth people ,albeit from different countries or backgrounds ,meet. Friendships can occur ,no less. And why not ? These are two lovely young ladies on an exotic island together far away from politics and other negative influences. There might just be some hope for this world after all.
21. CONDITIONING
DARK FABLE ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (08.07.12)
CONDITIONING ( and I am not talking about Hair ) : Most of us are conditioned ,one way or the other ,to believe that we must automatically be hostile to our fellows from other countries and cultures. These two sensible and gorgeous young ladies Hoora Amin and Ella Klein prove otherwise.
22. MISTAKEN ASSUMPTION
DA URBAN POET ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (08.07.12)
A mistake to automatically assume that israelis and iranians need to automatically hate each other ,in knee-jerk fashion. This is a false assumption .
23. 3 TO Helen B
sam ,   cairo   (08.07.12)
Helen I agree with you and nothing lasts human relations will remain a humanitarian unlikely today is possible to change tomorrow
24. why not?
pink elephant   (08.07.12)
i like this!! :D Only stupid people wants to fight all the time!!
25. #3, Do you have a similar message for Iran's leaders?
Jake   (08.07.12)
Or is everything always Israel's fault. Just a few days ago Ahmadinejad said that "World forces should annihilate Israel" and gloated about the Burgas bombing. Nothing to say about that? Netanyahu is not at least somewhat justified to rattle sabers in response? Pathetic!
26. Iranian girls are hot
roger ,   zurich switzerland   (08.07.12)
27. Not exceptional or unusual........
froike ,   NY NY   (08.07.12)
but a pleasant article nonetheless. The problem is not the people....There are Iranians, Egyptians, Jordanians....etc who on a one to one basis have nothing against Jews or Israel. In many cases the governments are the problems; and these folks probably didn't elect them. Not saying they are a majority, but education, travel, freedom of speech, tend to reduce ignorance. Usually, racism, dictatorship, and ignorance are frequent bedfellows. Incidentally, both of these gals are jamilla
28. And So What...
Al From Brooklyn ,   Petah Tikva   (08.07.12)
As 22 alludes, ignorant to assume that people need to be bloody enemies, espc when chilling on a beautiful island in paradise. No news there. Would be news if Bibi and Achmedin broke bread. Btw the Iranian girl is not an outlier, there is a vibrant underground scene of many modern people living ( or trying to be mod) under the repression there. True she would have to do it in hiding. Two other things come to mind, as an oleh chadash my Hebrew ( or lack of) prevents me from really engaging ynet. Is the Heeb version full of the same drivel as the English one? Also the world is not so black and white. Every Israeli, given the inherent contradictions in his society should know. For example there are Persian Jews who live in Long Island who -despite being forced to flee and start anew- dont hate the Iranians, even the regime. That being said, I hate the regime.
29. The wars are never about the people
Brian ,   London   (08.07.12)
They are about religion, fanatasism and politics. We'd all be a lot better off without all that garbage. I don't even know why it's worth mentioning that these two discovered a human bond between themselves - it's obvious!!!
30. To nr 3 - You have gravely misunderstood the situation
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.07.12)
It is not Israel's leadership that wants to fight with Iran. It is Iran's leadership that wants to fight with 6 million Jews in Israel, which the government of Israel has a responsibility to protect and defend against anyone seeking to destroy Israel and the Jewish people. If we put emotions aside and look at hard military data, objectively speaking, many military experts around the world - including non Jews - even those who are directly hostile to Israel and the Jews, admit time and time again, that Israel, as far as military training, education, motivation, equipment, technology, modus operandi etc are concerned, by far outperforms Iran. Israel doesn't stand a chance? Replace the word Israel with Iran and you have got it right. Iran doesn't stand a chance against Israel. Iran has the advantage of being a large country with a large population - you cannot destroy Iran with one single strike, second - the distance factor - Iran is farther away from Israel than Iraq or Syria so from a logistical perspective it poses a greater challenge to attack Iran. Has it escaped your notice that a) Islamists rule Iran? b) The majority of Iranians (unfortunately) are anti-Semitic? c) Iran is trying to acquire nuclear weapons and d) Iran has threatened to wipe out Israel and the Jewish people from the face of the earth? If you are Jewish and truly care about Israel and really live in Israel, the Iranian nuclear threat (that can destroy our country - if Iran acquires nukes) should be your concern. Israel's government's responsibility is to protect and defend the Jewish people. I'm proud of my government, only I think they are too soft on Iran. It is not strange that Jews and Iranians can befriend each other. I've met exiled atheist secular academic pro-Israeli/pro-Jewish Iranians fearing the Islamists. The academic elite left Iran after 1979. Yes I agree that this friendship is inherently good, but it doesn't change the fact most of Hoora's countrymen in Iran are against Israel. God Bless Hoora for her goodness, but Israel must keep an eye on Iran.
