Just like there are parts of Israel that are safer than others parts of Syria are safer than others.
In some parts I imagine life goes on as if nothing has happened but then you go to Apello & Damascus and its not such a rosy picture which the media have just hyped up.

Syria sucks. The Golan is never going to be returned to Syria because Syria is no longer a real country. The Golan Druze might as well accept Israeli citizenship, do the army and enjoy their lives in the free and democratic state of Israel.
