61. saudi is a pakistani ally....
inconito   (08.09.12)
it is clear that Iran will obtain nuclear capability even after the bombing. Military experts say that even this may increase the determination. saudi arabia has a fantastic arsenal British, and American made SAM (...patriots), and his aviation is ultra modern, it would be suicidal to provoke them, especially if we imagine that this can degenerate into full scall-war against the world's important Muslim country, and ally of Pakistani nuclear power ..... if israel is not impressed by the Saudi warnings? yet he should think carefully
62. #22, clearly you know nothing about Muslims
Jake ,   USA   (08.09.12)
Saudis are Sunni, they despise the rise of Shiite Islam, and the Iranians who are perpetuating it. For all the propaganda about Israel being a threat, the Middle Eastern governments know the truth -- Israel is a threat to no-one -- Iran is a threat to everyone.
63. #22
YEAH OK ,   YANK   (08.09.12)
Then all the armchair quarterbacks should stop complaining and tell them to do it themselves.
64. should have been #27 not #22
YEAH OK ,   YANKS   (08.09.12)
do it then
65. Saudi Arabia..Our Staunch Allie!
Koose E Mack ,   NY NY   (08.09.12)
Biggest back stabbing two face hypocrites in the world...Saudi Govt! When Israel bombed the Iraqi Nuclear Plants, they were publicly cursing Israel and privately celebrating. Ironically, the Saudi F-15's use drop tanks manufactured in Israel....LMAO. They are full of Shiiiiite.
66. WITH 19 USA JETS? THANKS OBAMA misguided president
...DACON9   (08.09.12)
THATS WHAT I READ. I HOPE I READ WRONG.
67. Saudi
Naftali   (08.09.12)
That;s funny, when have the Saudis ever fought? They are good at paying others to do so. They are also good at encouraging Islamic fundamentalism everywhere. They have tons of expensive military gear, but have no clue or desire to fight
68. In the bad, we can count on Obama
Yael Schlichting ,   currently Munich   (08.09.12)
We must expect, that Obama's slight rapprochement towards Israel is only technically and has something to do with the election campaign. Anyway, I believe the route via Syria and Iraq at present is less risky! It should be feasible to knock out Syrian and Iraqi air defence as these two states presently are stuck with other things.
69. More manipulation by evil Obama regime.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.09.12)
The Israeli officials quoted in this article are right on target. This supposed Saudi threat is more manipulation, by the evil Obama regime, to stop Israel from destroying Iran's nukes. We must do the job. Destroy Iran's nukes NOW!
70. After giving them iff, now this
Endyr ,   Florida   (08.09.12)
We quietly carved a corridor for the IAF to fly through even updating IFF transponder info for the jets' safe conduct, what this means is an active and overt retraction of support for PURELY POLITICAL ENDS. Yep, Obama sure is a friend of Israel alright. DEEDS not WORDS people.
71. we cant keep using old tactics to fight new wars
zionist forever   (08.09.12)
We have to face the fact that this is not Iraq 1981, the situation is very different and we just don't have the hardware to do the job. In 1981 nobody imagined Israel would ever bomb Saddam Hussain's 1 nuclear reactor. In 2012 Iran has many nuclear sites some underground and they are ready for an attack because we been threatening to do it so long and they saw what happened to Saddam 30 years ago. To attack at least most the important targets not only would we need the element of surprise but ptobably take 100 jets because neither the F15 or F16 are designed to be heavy bombers which is what we need to do the job. We have left this so long now the Americans are the only ones with the capability with their jets on the carriers and airbases in the Gulf and Tomahawk missiles. A single B2 stealth bomber can carry more bombs than 30+ F16s. Even Obama now knows that diplomacy failed before it began and if he wants to avoid a Middle East nuclear arms race he must bomb Iran. If Israel tried something America would be dragged into it anyway because Iran sees America & Israel as two sides of the same coin and if either of them attacks Iran will respond by attack both so no way the US can stay out of it so better off they initiate the attack and get it right rather than letting Israel try half meassures and then get attacked anyway. If Israel were to try anything and Saudi Arabia was going to let them use its airspace they would want to play dumb or risk becoming an Iranian target themselves.
72. Saudis
Joe sombrero ,   USA   (08.09.12)
If the US tips off the Saudis and sells Israel out Israel as a policy should take out Mecca in retaliation.
73. No need
Matt   (08.09.12)
Nothing in the southern quadrant, no need for the southern flight path. A few Shahab-3 that the special forces can deal with. Israel need not worry about the Straits of Hormuz, 5th Fleet or Saudi oil fields.
74. hahaha bring it
ber ,   yahud   (08.09.12)
Let's use our subs to fire at Iran missiles from Saudi Airspace, sit back and enjoy the fire as our enemies kill each other.
75. Islam's curse
tahoevalleylines ,   USA   (08.10.12)
Background on Islam's burden is in "The Blood Of The Moon" by George Grant
76. SAUDIS HAVE OFFERED......HAVE THEY..#24
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (08.10.12)
And you happen to know about it as well.....................................wow.Do you know the exact 'corridor of death' ?
77. Iran
Salim ,   Indonesia   (08.10.12)
Israelis are too cowerd to strike hence looking for excuses
78. Instead...Simply strike Iran's Oil Facilities
Rich ,   Orange, Ca., USA   (08.13.12)
Israel can easiy provoke an Iranian economic meltdown, well before they can perfect a deliverable nuke.....while sending oil/gas prices up sufficienty to ensure that Obama is booted out of office come November. Long distance strikes by missile, submarine launched or otherwise, plus some serious mining of Iranian waters should be a walk in the park for the IDF. Granted, they are likely to unleash a slew of missiles in retaliation, and who knows what else - but you are talking war afterall and this way Israel has home advantage with dug in defensive positions. You are going to have to confront Iran sooner or later anyway.....why wait until they have nukes? Destroy their economic infastructure first - they will be bankrupt without oil exports. If the rest of the world has to pay higher oil prices for a couple of years.....too bad.
79. Let's drop a few bombs on the way to Iran
