Even if there is a doubt if his life is in danger, I believe the IDF have the right and responsibility to shot first and ask questions later. There is a similar ruling for breaking the Shabbat if there is a doubt that perhaps there is a chance that a person will die, on a small doubt, the shabbat is violated. It certainly should be true in the case of a soldier in enemy territory, where there is a possibility of some sinister attack. Our boys deserve every doubt, they put their lives on the line for us; we have seen what the Arabs, especially the Hamas, think of killing themselves in order to kill one of us.

I'm amazed that again Israel is held to a standard which is not required from any one else on this planet. War is always a tragedy, death is always a tragedy, don't you know that? Look at the WWII history - how many innocents died in Germany, Russia, Poland?
