It's not a "mascot." It's a talisman. Get it right, can't you? I don't recommend wearing it. For one thing, patchouli oil positively stinks, and if enough of you are wearing it, you'll telegraph your presence for miles. Which might not be in your best interests.

I love patchouli. In fact, I have patchouli body wash which I follow with a spritz of White Linen perfume. So maybe I smell like a Thai whorehouse when I use them? Yeah, probably. Anyway, I do wish they would leave these guys and their patchouli alone.

No offense meant .... I like White Linen. It's actually the only Estee Lauder scent I can stand.

No offense taken, Sarah. I was just funning you. And I know what you mean about the other Lauder fragrances.

The parachuters can't have their "lucky" talisman. Have they tried wearing red undies instead? Silly superstitious lot you people are!
6. its a harmless thing and the army so give it a break

Other than the fact its not politically correct because some people will argue its degrading to women The Patchouti hurts nobody so why is the army obsessed with the idea of banning it? The soldiers themselves see as a kind of moral booster and they are the men in the Kiriya in air conditioned offices. I am begining to think the army would prefer to see soldiers on the streets of Tel Aviv Saturday night protesting against this decision.
