Anyone who denounces that the Temple does not exist is just as anti-Christian as anti-semitic since all of the new testament is based on the geography and their are the tales of what happened on the Temples steps etc..... In fact if you deny Jerusalem is Jewish you are denying Islam also. one of those fabulous ironies without Judaism Islam and Christianity would not exist
32. #21-Time to tell muslims-Kiss off !!
Don Rosenberg ,   Palatine USA   (08.13.12)
Jerusalem is the capital of Israel plan and simple, and Israel should tell the world, no division of our capital, NEVER. It never should have been offered by Barak just as the pal.... should be called arabs, since there is no such people, another arab muslim lie. Muslims should be allowed to worship at Temple mount but Jews should pray there an tell the muslims to F off and mind their own business and concentrate on becoming civilized. Time to stay strong and not give muslims anything. Like #22, I say nuke them if they start another war. Hopefully the US and civilized nations will join in and destroy these animals.
33. "eternal capital of Palestine,"

eastern-european have no claim to Jerusalem.
34. #23 Jews are Canaanites
Sidney ,   USA   (08.13.12)
For those of us who do not take Torah as history but rely on archaeology, Jews are Canaanites. We are the indigenous people.
35. Annexation NOW! Not more talk.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.13.12)
Nature abhors a vacuum. Since Israel's government lacks the courage to claim and annex our more than 3,500 year old ancestral heartland; our "Palestinian" poseur enemies are doing so. The answer is simple. This land is ours. It will always be ours. We can easily prove it is ours. We claim it now and forever. Annexation NOW! Not more talk.
36. Quite irrelevant. Israel controls the territory.
Sam ,   Canada   (08.13.12)
If the Palestinians want any part of Jerusalem, it will have to come as part of a peace agreement. For that Palestinians will have to accept a Jewish majority Israel. If the Palestinians prefer to wait for Israel to disappear, Jews can wait too. Meanwhile, Jews will build.
37. The Jewish Ownership of Jerusalem and ha Eretz
ltrail ,   United States   (08.13.12)
Palestinian Religious Affairs Minister Mahmoud Al-Habbash claimed that Jerusalem has been, "throughout history, the capital of the Palestinian state and the capital of the Palestinian people". The statement is so rediculous and is so far from truth; It's typically what the Hitler and the Nazis would have perpetrated. Tell a lie often enough and soon people will begin to believe it. Then we have UN housing czar, Raquel Rolnik, adding to the lie by blatently accusing the Jews of Israel of being "occupiers" and not owners of Jerusalem; another lie. Let these so-called palestinians, who have a very short history of several hundred years in Israel, know that peoples of the world will not believe these lies. But the Jews connection to the land is unbroken, and is many milleniums in historical length and breadth.

Jews have New York why don't you guys leave Jerusalem to the Arabs????
39. @#2
Belinda ,   Texas, USA   (08.13.12)
Rome is NOT the capital of Christianity! Our Saviour was born and is from Israel, NOT Rome!!!!!
40. #23
Meir ,   Toronto Canada   (08.13.12)
You are right. So, Jerusalem has been Jewish for 'only' 3000 years. BTW if you are inferring that the Canaanites are some how related to the Pals forget it - the Pals are Arabs the Canaanites were not.
41. #23 Where are Jebus and the Jebusites today?
Jake   (08.13.12)
Let me give you a hint. They have nothing to do with today's "palestinians".
42. #34 The Torah confirms it too.
Jake   (08.13.12)
On linguistic grounds, the Israelites and Canaanites shared a common language, the Language of Canaan (Isaiah 19:17-18), which in the post-Biblical era has been known as Hebrew.
43. we are a stiffneck and stupid people .

44. Edith #26 When holy places of Christians and Jews were
(08.13.12)
under Arabs/Jordanians control NO ONE was allowed to enter them except Muslims. But when the Israeli/Jews reconquered these holy places Christians, Jews AND Muslims were right away allowed to enter these places. How many churches or synagogues visited by their respective people you see in Saudi Arabia or other arab countries? close to none!
45. Jerusalem and all of Eastern Israel must be annexed
Baruch Gold ,   Kiriyat Arba, Israel   (08.13.12)
Jerusalem is the capitlal of Israel and of the Jewish people. The Arabs are invaders and it's time to end the Arab occupation. As long as Arab settlers occupy Jerusalem and Israel, there is no chance of peace. The invaders will never leave us alone to live in peace.
46. The Clinton parameters still make sense
Avramele   (08.13.12)
What is Jewish is Israeli, what is Arab is Palestinian and a special shared arrangement for the holy basin. As for a third temple let the zealots build it in Monsey or Crown Heights.
47. No such thing as Palestian
Avi ,   USA   (08.13.12)
Fight back Jerusalem belongs to Jews. Palestian is a made up country for Syrian And Egyptian Arabs that are the frontline in the Arab War to murder the Jews and destroy Israel.
48. A message to Christian believers.
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (08.13.12)
If Christians hear the PA's and Mufti's statements that Jerusalem has never been Jewish, always been the capital of a Palestinian Arab/Muslim state and that there was never a Jewish Temple there and believe those lies, there is only one thing that they can do. Throw their Christian Gospels in the bin because they don't believe them. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
49. Seculars For Temple Counsiousness SFTC
Mike ,   Haifa   (08.13.12)
The loss of our legitimacy in the international arena is rooted in our disregard for the Temple mount. When we let our fanatic enemies run our holiest and most defining element of the Jewish people and culture , we essentially plannted the seeds for what we see experience today. when we said nothing when they started destroying every trace of Jewish history there, we caused the world, that by then believed in our claim, that the Arabs' cause and claim is the just one. The connection to the Temple mount goes beyond reliogious and secular lines. In fact the ultimate solution to the religious-secular divide is the Temple consciousness which is NOT A RELIGIOUS one. It will reverse, undo and repeal the religious layer that developed in galut and which has been nothing but an impediment for our people. It will also provide a channel for the seculars to connect to our identity wihout beconing religious. I am secular and totally favor reconnecting with the Temple Mount and reestablishing our original (pre-Rabbinic Judaism) identity based on our Torah and Temple. I plan to start a secular pro-Temple consciuosness grassroot movement. If there are any seculars or non-religious out there who wants to join me respond to my comment and i will provide my e-mail contact info and we will take it from there.

tell me edithann, was jerusalem shared with the jews between 1947- 1967? no! jerusalem was 80% JEWISH before 1947-48. the jordanian army during the 1948 independence war captured jerusalem, cleaned out all the jews from jerusalem, confiscated their homes and properties and threw them out. these religious jews lived there for millenia and no arab leader ever visited jerusalem and none ever talked about it politically as holding any significance to them, especially to the "palestinian people" who never existed back then as a political group, much less a "nation" or "people" until 1964 when the plo was born and before the 67 israeli "occupation". so, once jordan captured jerusalem illegally from the jews and ethnically cleansed that city of the jews, the jordanian king proceeded to close the city and the western wall completely to any jew. NO JEWS WERE ALLOWED AT THE WAILING WALL OR IN ANY PART OF JERUSALEM AT ALL. THAT WAS UNTIL 1967 WHEN ISRAEL CAPTURED BACK JERUSALEM FROM THE AGGRESSIVE JORDANIAN ARMY DURING THE 67 WAR. so, tell me, about jordanian respect for all religions? so tell me about arab respect for the right of jews to pray and be in jerusalem. tell me more about what arabs do with the jews in jerusalem and how often they let them visit or pray there between 1948 and 1967. you are full of crap. when israel didn't have dominion over jerusalem, no jew was ever allowed to go there or pray there up until 1967, dear!!!!! isn't this arab behavior show contempt, disrespect, ethnic cleansing of all jews that do have a very good sound historical right to jerusalem much much more than any arab or "palestinian" for that matter has. so, be a good girl and run along and educate yourself because you are totally a moron and very very ignorant of history. hameed aboughaze, iranian

52. Judaism and Jews are Egyptian, Moses story about Akhenaten
Steven Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (08.13.12)
Many scholars, like Sigmund Freud, think Moses was the monotheistic Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten, or one of his followers. Both Moses and Akhenaten were born at the same time, 1391 BCE. This would make Judaism and Jews, Egyptian.

And you have 22 countries, can't you just leave Israel to the Israelis?
54. #38 you gave your country to PLO
A ,   Belgium   (08.13.12)
and Hizbollah. Where is "Zurich of the Middle East" now? When the Jordanians controlled Jerusalem, they burned down synagogues and tore up cemeteries to use as latrines. Moslems deserve only the hottest, meanest deserts of hell to live in, they have no place in modern society.
55. Hey, did anyone notice ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.14.12)
... that on one and the same day, Israel was treated to a magnificent and truly awe-inspiring meteor shower in the heavens while Iran was treated to three stinking, foetid rumbles from the bowels of the earth that destroyed six villages and killed several hundred, while injuring thousands more? Just sayin'.
56. Actually, its handing Londonistan to the Shariah people.

57. To: No. 52
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.14.12)
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were not Egyptian, and they are the Jewish patriarchs. Moses was raised by Pharaoh's daughter, but he was never Pharaoh. And while extraordinarily important to the evolution of Judaism, he is not a patriarch. We do not even know where he is buried. You are BEYOND clueless.
58. Palestine is the Jewish mandate!
Kamal ,   USA   (08.14.12)
Palestine was created for the Jewish Homeland under the Balfour Declaration. The UN voted unanimously by 51 countries all in favor for the National Home for the Jewish people. It has nothing to do with Muslims. The other mandates were Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia. The Muslims got the lion's share. You are now 22 Islamic countries . There is 1 solitary Jewish state & you want that too. It will never happen! This is our last & only Jewish home. Almost 1,000,000 Jews, including myself & my family were ethnically cleansed from our homes in the Muslim world. My father was sent to prison in Iraq & my uncle, my grand-father. We were deprived of all rights just for being Jewish. Jewish people were hanged in the Public Square spectacle. Half of Israel are Jews from the Islamic world. You cannot tolerate any religion, unfortunately, otherwise we could all be living like cousins. In 35 years 40 million Muslims were killed by Muslims. Oy Vey for the Jews & Christians who lived under Islam!

Right back atcha!
60. reality check
Steve   (08.14.12)
I once hoped for reconciliation resulting in a peaceful settlement between Arabs and Jews. As time progressed two facts became painfully obvious. 1. The Palestinians are among the most dishonest people on Earth. Oh yeah, every nation including Israel indulges in a certain amount of propoganda, however the entire foundation of the Palestiniuan argument lacks veracity, and therefore legitimacy. 2. The Palestinians could have been entering their second decade of statehood with most of their demands having been met. The reality is that if given everything they ask for tomorrow, Israel would still be under siege by her neighbors while she was being devoured from the inside by the miltitudes of "returnees" whose goal is to supplant Israel with yet another Arab state. Time to stow the two state B.S. and get ruthless with these scurrilous liars.
