1. Not a penny for PA.
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (08.14.12)
Israel must cease any economic connections and any form of financial aids to "PA". Enemies are enemies and support them is a form of suicide. If maybe they change their attitude can be made some change. But it does not seems probable in the near future.
2. mooney..... sweet sweet mooneey.
Mahmoud Abbas   (08.14.12)
Me want me mooney right now. Sweet Sweet mooney.

4. The Arab leadership in Ramallah must know:
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (08.14.12)
A move that fundamentally violates the September 1995 Interim Agreement with Israel will place Israel at freedom to violate the same agreement as well, including the annexation of Area C and incorporate it into the liberal democratic nation-state of the Jewish people. Indeed, such a move will free Israel to finally establish a number of additional villages and towns in Samaria, Judea and especially an urban center in the Jordan Valley, all in Area C that will be incorporated into Israel. The Arab population of the territories will not benefit from such a move at the UN, nor will the "peace process" that has ceased since the leadership in Ramallah decided not to return to the negotiating table and talk peace.
5. Palestinians can never get a real state without Israel
Sam ,   Canada   (08.14.12)
I guess the situation for Palestinians isn't too bad if they are ready to wait forever for the destruction of Israel to get a state. How say you, Palestinians?

Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (08.14.12)
The PA has passed its use by date.As there is no longer an elected PA nor has been one for years, all this pseudo-diplomatic nonsense can be ended by winding up the PA once and for all. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
8. PA must dismantle, instead of this BS.

Israel does not give any 'financial aid' to the PA, quite the reverse: it welches on and sidesteps its legal responsibilities. All it gives the PA is the tax Israel raises on imports for Palestine, which it is required ti pass on to them anyway under international law. An occupying power is responsible for the well-being and safeguarding of the occupied people and is required by international law to provide everything from housing to education to health to police, courts and prisons to roads to pensions to government salaries, etc etc. Occupations are accordingly not popular and are necessarily brief, because of the high costs that fall on the occupier. Not so in Israel's case, because it pays NOTHING - the bill is all paid by the USA and the foolish EU, topped up by the Arab League. It is an astonishing situation really, the world's leading and most slippery and recalcitrant occupier being enabled to extend their occupation indefinitely due to someone else's dollars and euros. Time this spoon-feeding of greedy Israel ends, time for Israelis to pay the full price of occupation and maybe they will then start to understand what they have taken on, the full financial support and responsibility for 4 million Palestinians for every day of the occupation.

If Israel had to pay for the occupation it would be over quickly. The situation is deplorable and erodes Israel's reputation in the Western world.

No economic connections ? Import goods come to PA via israeli ports. A total ban would deter these transports to Aqaba, Jordan. A very good solution, transport costs are doubled. The present situation is the same like the Soviet Union with the German Reich before the war. The soviets fed their arch enemies in exchange they got a war with 25 millions dead. The last soviet export train with oil crossed the border in 21. June 1941.
12. #9 r misunderstands
solomon ,   bklyn   (08.15.12)
Actually, you are wrong. Very wrong. Israel is not required to do anything for the "Palestinians". They are not occupied. Gaza borders Egypt. The WB borders Jordan. But you ignore them as they don't fit into your false "facts". Given that the "Pals" want to destroy Israel, would any other country supply their enemy with money? Israel does supply fuel and electricity as well as allow tons of food to be delivered, all of which you ignore. The "international laws" you speak of either do not exist or do not apply. People of your ilk make them up as you go along. Israel is faced with a most slippery and recalcitrant enemy, sworn to destroy it. This enemy also uses the funds of others to keep going, without accounting for the enormous funds already given. The spoon feeding of the greedy "Pals" has to end. Time for them to pay the price of refusing to talk about peace, for running away at the slightest sign of it, and for refusing to acknowledge Israel's right to be there. That you 'misunderstand' is an understatement.
