1. Enough from Nobel winner teoreticians.
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (08.16.12)
Real successes are needed, which have great impacts on everyday's life. New energy sources, cars without gazoline, effective drugs against cancer at last, so on, so on.
2. Istvan, science is at the core of the solutions you seek.
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (08.16.12)
Science isn't just "theoretical". Science inspires applied science, which inspires engineering and medicine. Just looking at Israel, the theoretical work done at Hebrew U, Technion and Weizmann (all ranked "top 100" schools only this week), not to mention the stuff done at TAU, BGU and Bar Ilan, regularly leads to discoveries which leads to solutions made available through new companies. Hungary used to be a leading player in mathematics and science. (Von Neumann was Hungarian.) If you're today unable to translate the theoretical into solutions you're doing something wrong.

4. "Genius Summit" is a pretentious name.
Michael ,   California, USA   (08.17.12)
It is clear organizers have no idea who is a true genius. This summit will have in it people who play by the rules of the establishment, those who comply and seek recognition by well established means. Maybe they will be people with high IQ test results who are successful in getting research grants, but from this to being a genius is a long way. True geniuses are known to be non-conformists, people who are breaking the rules because they see things way ahead of the rest of society. When a genius conforms, he becomes an ordinary person who is rarely able to deliver creations that change our world, whether in science, art or philosophy. If I was a true genius, I would stay away from this "summit" as much as possible. How about changing the name of this to something less pretentious, maybe an "Asian Research Review convention" ?

Israel will have no such 'Genius summit' with Asia.
