31. Well... Today I learned!
Az   (08.20.12)
While I think that is a bit of a silly way to do things - putting such conditions on bus tenders - perhaps only competence of drivers etc. should be required, if that's the law then they should get out of that business and onto soapboxes. Or into their legislatures or whatever they're called there, to protest that being the law.
32. Az , there are more conditions
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.20.12)
Those i mentioned were some in connection with passengers . Why a silly way ? It's normal that a bus company MUST accept everyone as a passenger .
33. @#32 - A lot of things are "normal"
Az   (08.20.12)
That doesn't mean that they're right and good. That's the old "everybody's doing it" argument. A logical fallacy. While that certainly is "normal" I disagree that it's the way it should be. It goes against the principles of private property and free-market economics. If I've got a competent, licensed bus driver, and I pay him his wages, and I buy a bus, with private money, I should be able to use that bus in whatever business fashion I choose subject to some reasonable laws like not driving into pedestrians/impeding traffic and whatnot. If I choose to lose business by not doing business with the IDF, that should be a respected right. A lot of the ultra-orthodox feel that way you know.
34. 33 Az Your # 28 shows that you don't know
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.21.12)
anything about public transportation . You are not aware that public transportation needs rules . You can't exploit a bus line without obeying them . You have to ACCEPT all the passengers without exeption . Not related to your "freedom" to do business .
