61. Yes Iran wants to be the power
Lou ,   Bucharest, Romania   (08.19.12)
of the Muslim world, they want to impose their version of Islam, their pride is in their military agenda. And indeed they are a threat to the peace world. They dear to call Israel a stain in the world while their criminal agenda nurtures all kinds of militias such as Hezbollah, Hamas and a whole army of criminals. These persons live for hate. Let's hope that the future it's not theirs and let's hope that the Western world which has brought many good things to humanity, such as the human rights (a concept which for Islamism has no relevance) can stand for itself.
62. #60 Simply not true
Cynthia ,   USA   (08.19.12)
Hamas and Hezbollah are proxies of Iran. Iran provides weapons and funds their existence. They travel to Iran like honeybees and provoked both wars with Israel. If Hamas and Hezbollah were so concerned about innocent people, they shouldn't have attacked Israel. Obviously, the murder of other Muslims/Arabs means nothing to Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran when it comes to jihad and quest for regional power. Just look at Syria. The US provides Israel with weapons for Israel's survival. Please explain why the regime is using anti-semitic rhetoric against Jews? How do you think this makes the thousands of Jewish citizens of Iran feel, particularly since many have loved ones in Israel? Isn't this racism that impacts Iran's Jewish citizens and makes them fear for their lives and families? This is a form of persecution that forced hundreds of thousands of Jews to leave Arab lands.
63. #62 Iran is not antisemitic
George ,   San Francisco, USA   (08.19.12)
So, how did you conclude that Iran is antisemitic. Iran is against Zionism and is against the policies of Israel that lead to the confiscation of Palestinian lands and the barbaric attacks on Gaza and Lebanon. But, there is nothing antisemitic about this attitude. In fact, Iranian Jews are also against Zionism, in general. Go to YouTube, and search for a video by the title of "Jews in Iran." And, stop talking nonsense.
64. #63 Apologist for antisemitic muslim fanatics
Cynthia ,   USA   (08.20.12)
The propaganda Islamic regime leaders are pushing is antisemitic and against Jews. They're hoping to whip up hatred against Jews. Nothing less. You have no clue what Iranian Jews think because they remain silent for survival. Do you think they feel comfortable with a president who calls the Holocaust a myth? You falsely believe the regime cares about the Palestinians. They care no more about the Palestinians than their own people who they dangle from cranes, beat to a pulp and rape in prison. The Palestinians are useful shahids who fire kassams at Israel for them. Expand your horizons and watch Iranian made youtube videos revealing how Iranians are treated by the regime.
65. #64: You are talking nonsense
George ,   San Francisco, USA   (08.20.12)
Iranian made videos are a dime a dozen. What Iranians are making these videos? The MKO has numerous stupid videos full of lies about Iran. Go to YouTube and search for video with the title of "Jews in Iran" which is made by an ordinary Jew who visited Iran. Then, stop talking nonsense. There is no discrimination against Jews in Iran. The only criticism is of the Zionist policies of Israel. As I said earlier, Iranian Jews are mostly against Zionism too. They were offered money to immigrate to Israel, but they refused
66. #64: Your mind is made up. Facts? What are they?
George ,   San Francisco, USA   (08.20.12)
I won't bother confusing you with facts. Did you watch the YouTube video that I suggested in comment #63? I think my earlier comment disappeared. But, just because a video is made by an Iranian doesn't mean anything. For example, the MKO, who are a bunch crazy lunatics, make a lot of anti-Iran videos. At least, the video that I suggest is made by an ordinary Jew who was visiting Iran.
67. #65 George
Cynthia ,   USA   (08.20.12)
Jews are a recognized religious minority in Iran. Many are businessmen and professionals and like most Iranians, they keep their opinions to themselves. They are not going to openly support Israel for fear of arrest. And don't you attempt to speak for them. Since the Islamic Revolution, thousands of Jewish Iranians have left the country. An estimated 170,000 Jewish Iranians live in Israel. They immigrated to Israel on their own. Money was not a motivating factor. Seems you better watch more videos.
68. #67: Many people left Iran, not just Jews
George ,   San Francisco, USA   (08.20.12)
Many people left Iran after the revolution. Persians left, tens of thousands of Armenians left and many Jewish people left. These departures have very little to do with religious discrimination. What, having about 25 Synagogues in Tehran is not enough for you? This is my last word on these pages. Best wishes.
