Using the cloak of religion to take a drunken skinny dip in the Sea of Galilee is unsulting to all those who believe in the special significance of the Sea of Galilee and the River Jordan! These supposed leaders showed their true colors and she publicly be required to apologize, live and in living color (as they say in TV-land)for their juvenile and disgraceful behavior! Let them go before Pastor John Hagee's flock and explain how they defamed a holy place, disgraced their office and abused their priveliges as members of the US House! If they want to truely make ammends, let them refund the $10,000 cost of the trip...a fitting tithe, at the very least donate it to some worthwhile charity that teaches about morality, alcoholism and also go before their pastors and congregations back home and apologize to those they represent! I doubt any of this will come to pass! We're in an election year folks, and this shows deep down what some in the Rep. Party are willing to do to let off steam...Shame, shame, shame!

Many people, including Jews, Arabs andChristians, swim and enjoy sailing, windsurfing, fishing etc. in the sea of Galillee all the time (well, in summer anyway!). There are several swimming beaches dotted around its shores. In terms of 'preserving the purity of the water', it really (microbiologically) doesn't make a jot of difference whether the swimmer is clothed or not. It's got plenty of muck in it anyway, from naturals sources anyway (decaying vegetation, fish poo, and the like.) The water is all processed before anyone drinks it. If you're trying to say it's sacred, I think you've just made that up. Jesus and his cronies didn't appear tos ee anything wrong in dunking themselves in the Jordan, or sailing on (or even walking on!) the Kinneret. Get a life. The man just did what others have done for centuries before. I hope he enjoyed it.

Yes, the man went swimming naked in a lake. But, if an Israeli politician came to the US and did that - so that there are SO MANY WITNESSES, that would be embarrassing. Same here.
