Seeing how a bunch of fanatics in Iran who are in absolute control are leading the world and their own country on a path to war, all of a sudden I'm greatly comforted by inefficient and painfully slow (and sometimes corrupt) liberal democracies and even the UN, as hated as it is. As Winston Churchill said, it's better to jaw-jaw than to war-war. If there were checks and balances in the Islamic Republic it would be possible to talk to someone. But because of the totalitarian nature of the regime, which means it is ruled by bravado rather than truly best interests, there probably won't be a choice but to go to war :(
