What is the root cause of the conflict? To be honest, I think that the very existence of Israel is the biggest problem. Arabs lived there an no one else had and has right to make any decision about Palestine. Only them. Any accords between British goverment and Zionists leader violated their rights. They hadn't and haven't any reason to accept it. So if there's some way to end the conflict, the way goes through to solution of the root cause. But frankly, I guess that now, it's too late for any compromise. The conflict will end by annihilation of one side.

Obama campaign website says “Rabbis For Obama” sees the president as an “advocate for issues important to the Jewish community.” “The endorsement of President Obama by the rabbis speaks volumes about the president’s deep commitment to the security of the state of Israel and his dedication to a policy agenda that represents the values of the overwhelming majority of the American Jewish community,” Ira Forman, Jewish outreach director for the campaign, told the Huffington Post on Tuesday.

Gottlieb sits on the advisory board of Jewish Voice for Peace, a group that is active in the campaign to use boycott, divestment and sanctions to pressure Israel into ending the occupation of the West Bank, and that has no official position on whether Israel should exist as a Jewish state.
