2. Legacy
Gordon ,   USA   (09.04.12)
What a legacy from a man who made a real difference in the lives of those who would otherwise have been forgotten, and abandoned to emptiness. "He who saves a life, it is as if he saved the world."
3. Ludwig Guttmann
Mike Mackenzie ,   Oxford UK   (09.04.12)
We commissioned a life size bronze statue of Sir Ludwig "Poppa" Guttmann (unveiled at Stoke Mandeville 24th June). We have presented a bronze bust of Guttmann from the same mould to The IPC who will display it at all Parlaympic Games, summer and winter. It was in pride of place at the special service in St Paul's Cathedral on 26th August before being sent to The Paralympic Park. The full size statue is on display at Stoke Mandeville Stadium and will be permanently sited outside The National Spinal Injuries Centre after The Paralympics. Mike Mackenzie Chairman, The Poppa Guttmann Trust
4. He is a prophet...
Walt K ,   Sherbrooke, Canada   (09.05.12)
At those days, where the handicaped people were isolated from the rest of the population, Sir Guttmann forecast our time where the weekests of the world are able to live, work, make sport, and be considered as well as everyone.
