1. The UNHCR is tasked with looking after refugees
Tracy W   (08.30.12)
Countries are already paying for two agencies tasked with looking after refugees: UNHCR and UNRWA. Most African countries are in a dire situation. There is sectarian violence, often aggravated by famine and illness. It would be quite UNREASONABLE to expect tiny Israel to absorb potentially MILLIONS of genuine refugees from Africa. There are UNHCR refugee camps set up in Africa already. Recently Turkey's Foreign Minister announced a limit of 100,000 to the number of refugees from Syria Turkey is capable of handling. Turkey is about 780,580 sq Km. About thirty-eight times larger than Israel. And Israel already has close to 100,000 African illegal African migrants, plus at least 200,000 infiltrators from the PA.
2. Lost his humanity? He never had any in the first place
Haim ,   TA   (08.30.12)
A truly dispicable man in every sense of the word.
3. Well, we don't want to be "cruel"
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.30.12)
Let's house the Sudanese in apartments in Tel Aviv -- not necessarily top of the line locations, but on, say, Sokolov, pinat Nordau. Let's put fifty Sudanese families there. For starters. If all goes well, how about housing them in some of those multi-million dollar apartments on Rehov Pincas? Or even further north -- hell, what am I saying? Give them all of "little" Tel Aviv. You love 'em that much, you can have 'em.
4. What humanity sent the jews to ovens
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (08.30.12)
Securing the Jewish State paramount if we are to avoid being sent to the ovens again. Migrants are potential fifth column and a contaminant to society Wrong not to send them back. Let the EU which is trying to dismantle Israel offer to take them
5. Welfare isn't right. Entitlement groups are not rights group
Miron ,   USA   (08.30.12)
Israel's failure to setup camps in Sinai will be the downfall of the Jewish homeland.

7. blind amnesty
Oren ,   Tel-Aviv, Israel   (08.30.12)
Let the people at amnesty international live a year with these immigrants in south Tel Aviv and then lets see what they say. Besides, they don't have to go back to Sudan or Eritrea, they can sneak into another country just like they moved on to Israel after they sought refuge in EGYPT.
8. Cruelty
michael Pielet ,   israel   (08.30.12)
Cruelty is allowing these people to stay in Israel. Let the migrants go to america or Canada.
9. Complicated issue. Egypt lets them through
Shep ,   Memphis, TN - USA   (08.30.12)
Israel could deliver them back to the Egyptian border - where they last crossed into Israel - BUT ISRAEL CAN'T CAUSE THE EGYPTIANS WOULD KILL THEM - SO MUCH FOR OBAMA'S EGYPTIAN DEMOCRACY. Obama has totally screwed up America's mid-east policy.

14. Don't try to force Israel to take foreigners in!
Phoenix ,   Israel   (08.30.12)
We have the right to regect and expel infiltrators that enter our land without permission and rights groups Have no right what so ever to tell Israel what to do. The USA expell thousands of Latinos and others every year. We do not want these africans here, they gives problem and we have no obligation what so ever to take them. They can go to other countries if they want. Why dont you Rights groups take all these Africans to Europe and America if you want so much to help them. Why should we the people of Israel the ones to pay the price taking a horde of abusive foreigners. We choose this is our land! The Lasd of Israel not Africa!

They passed through Egypt on their way here. It's Egypt's problem. We should move them to back over the border with Egypt and let Egypt deal with them!

Israel must spend a lot of money for its enemy, instead of helping poor israelis.Urgent action is necessary !!
20. They are NOT asylum seekers !
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.30.12)
Israel is the second country they came in , and are no asylum seekers anymore . This are the UN rules . Asylum seeker ONLY in the first country , in this case Egypt .
21. eli is not fast enough
jack bauer   (08.30.12)
the agenda of the do gooders is to call illegal infiltrators asylum seekers. The sad truth is these people stopped in numerous muslim countries on their way to Israel and could have applied in any one of them as a refugee. Istead they left their muslim lands to come to a jewish one, the only jewish one. Hiding behind leftniks and their soros funded lawyers claiming rights they dont have is outrageous. Israel has more then enough problems of its own to deal with. We have to stop this madness. These people arent seeking temporary protection, and they arent in danger either. They should be flown home the day after being found
22. I sympathize with asylum seekers but it's out of control
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (08.30.12)
We cannot in good conscious deport asylum seekers. Jews have been asylum seekers and were turned back only to end up in the ovens. However, Something needs to be done to improve the current situation, both for Israelis and the asylum seekers. Jews who fled Germany also at times entered nations illegally, for people will do whatever it takes to survive. We must find a humane policy to solve this.
23. Attorney Oded Feller,
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (08.30.12)
My bet is that you, personally, have not had any of these refugees living in your house. Why not? You're the fighter for human rights - back up your words.
24. #22 - BIG DIFFERENCE between wandering Jew and Sudanese!
Patriotic Israeli ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.30.12)
WE did not belong in any of those countries that kicked us out. THAT is why it is call EXILE! We belong here in Israel. As the Sudanese belong in THEIR country. The Torah explicitly in sefer Ba'Midbar, in numerous mitzvot, forbids us from endangering ourselves or the Land.
25. The question arises
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (08.30.12)
How many of those people that are advocating that Israel allow these Illegals to stay, have invited them into their homes, given them food & lodging to show their own good will ?
