They aren't scarred for life. I saw the pictures of the children, and their burns looked superficial. The little boy was more injured, but his injuries were still superficial. The little girl hardly looked injured at all. The parents were the one's more seriously hurt, especially the father. Not that this makes what happened any less horrilble or tragic. The boys who did this,if it turns out to be the ones in custody need to be punished as much as the law allows. I am glad the Rabbi came out and condemned this horrible act.
8. Innocent Until Proven Guilty
Daniel ,   Bat Ayin, Israel   (08.31.12)
Some comments reflect a rather primitive form of pre-democratic thinking. No charges have been filed, no indictments, no sentencing - just some ideas the police had which led them to arrest 3 minors who, judging by news reports, are about to be released for lack of evidence. Despite these known facts, some readers have concluded that not only are the 3 boys guilty ( not as charged - just as suspected) and therefore take the liberty of passing judgement on them, their parents, and the entire community of Bat Ayin. Are your gut feelings, infuenced by obviously yellow journalism, really enough to justify your smug and self-righteous lectures on morality, Judaism, parenting, etc?

you right Daniel, we must not revert to primitive pre-democratic justice. We are civilized thats why we never kill anyone we suspect of being a terrorist. we first confirm it.
10. Rabbi Says To "shun radical ideology"
emanon ,   USA   (08.31.12)
Does he mean like the belief that women need to be segregated from men on a public bus? Does he mean that the so called "modesty police" needs to stop their senseless acts of violence against women? Or does he consider equal standing for women "radical ideology"?

He is not haredi but religious Zionist and doubt it very much that he agrees with such extremes but follows the true moral Torah. Religious Zionist have been pioneers in women's rights with many women having important roles in the community so please don't judge and generalise. Please stop the baseless hatred for your fellow jews

So you agree that such acts as I described are examples of "radical ideology" that have no basis in Judaism and these practices should be stopped?
