Read the Book of Daniel and see if that is not happening in Syria, Iran, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Russia today. It appears to me they are lining up with the prophet. The US is in the midst of regime change and their eyes are focused on that at the moment. It makes sense that the other countries would start making their moves as the prophet stated. Morsi, while in Tehran, had strong words against Bashir Assad for the crimes committed against Syrians on orders of the Syrian Tyrant. We can presume his concern & anger were limited to members of the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood since he found nothing to say about past crimes committed against Iranian opponents of Ahmadinejad. If short term political convenience may lead to a strategic alliance between Egypt & Iran, its persistance is not likely to be very long given the wide differences between the two partners & their non coincident long term objectives. Nasser & other leaders vainly tried to set up an Arab Republic unifying Middle East Arab countries. A lasting alliance between Arabs & Persians has an even lower probability of succeeding

I agree and hope the all of Israel's spiritual eyes will be opened to what is happening. Israel will be alone in her time of need and G-d will be her deliverer.
