1. Don't leave!!
Moshe ,   USA   (09.02.12)
Don't bend to the Leftists. They're very sick people who would destroy their own country for their warped ideas. Remember Yamit..remember Gaza.
2. Without an israeli constitution
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (09.02.12)
everything can be declared illegal. Simply depends who declare it illegal. By Hamas the very existence of a single jew is illegal in the Holy Land the Fatah says only the recently immigrated jews are illegal, those who lived here in 1850 not. USA , EU have private wiews what is illegal in Israel , what not. Enough is enough, as Abbas said. The people of Israel must decide in a Jewish Constitution what the zionist idea and principles mean in the everyday's practice. T. Herzl already declared : Erec Israel belongs to the jewish nation. What are we debating then about ?
3. Ynet denied comments on Winograd missive.
Miron ,   USA   (09.02.12)
So, I will try here. My trouble with the missive is it is completely idiotic in its selfishness. He talks about home front and about missiles on Israel and so on. But he completely silent on how many innocent Iranians will be murdered on the premise of Mr. Netaneyahoo taking responcibility. Now, where did I hear that already?
4. no single world country recognizes any W.B.settlement legal
observer ,   Egypt   (09.02.12)
5. Shamefull title
Abraham Nachmias ,   Petach Tikva IL   (09.02.12)
I really don't understand how a newspaper that is supposed to offer not biased information lets however wrote this comments do it. This is truly biased!!!
6. #4
Devorah   (09.02.12)
No single world country recognizes "palestine" as a sovereign nation either.
7. #2 - The debate is about whether God created us
Patriotic Israeli ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (09.02.12)
and gave us the Land, or whether WE created God, and the Land is NOT God's to do what He wants, but what WE want!
8. Now it is missing only 495.000
Mike Abu-Reed ,   London   (09.02.12)
Great move. Now, let's keep the good work.
9. Don't leave your land!
Keren BR-IL ,   Tel Aviv   (09.02.12)
Don't leave! This land is ours too. Jews and Arabs are more and more united for the One State Solution. Let Jews stay in Judea and Samaria and let Arabs come to live in our midst in the Dan area. After all it is a land for two nations. One State Now!
10. # 4 We don't care about what the world considers
Sarah B. ,   U.S.A./Israel   (09.02.12)
We have been left alone for more than 3000 years, including under the oppresion of your leaders, in Egypt. It is time for us to take care of our lives. Judea & Samaria belong to the Jewish people. Ersatz Palestinians are welcome to join our Jewish State if they want, but this land is ours.
11. #2 - Who was Theodore Hertzl?
(09.02.12)
Some kind of prophet? Some kind of Law maker?
12. #9 was not written by me

13. Netanyahu
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (09.02.12)
Israel expects that her civilian population to be bombarded from Gaza, Syria, Lebanon and Sinai, and maybe even Iran. The only safe place for Jewish children is Judea and Samaria. In response, Netanyahu sends his troops to violently evict Jews from their homes and pu them in small areas.
14. In the end we all have to obey the law

Ariel Ben Yochanan ,   Kfar Tapuah, Efraim   (09.02.12)
17. #7 That's a very small part of the debate
Me   (09.02.12)
The debate is whether or not we can keep this land to ourselves, or must we hand it over to the Arabs. The expanse was conqured in the war of 1967, and, albeit not officialy annexed, it is considered by the government to be part of the State of Israel. Many countries today won their lands by past wars. Personally, I think the land should be handed over to the Arabs because I want to keep a firm Jewish percentage in Israel, but that's beside the point. It doesn't have a lot to do with religion.
18. #16 Ariel - certainly not Kfar Tepuah
Haim ,   TA   (09.02.12)
Oh i get it the Jewish identity of the modern democratic state of Israel all depends on the illegal settlement of Migron ? Really. Thats strange as most israelis have never set foot in the place. Israel is a state run according to democratic law not and i repeat not and never will be run according to medevil religious law.
19. #17 - Whereas I believe that it has everything to do with
Patriotic Israeli ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (09.02.12)
religion. Do we do God's will OR DO WE SPIT IN HIS FACE because we know better than God! THAT is the issue!
20. The Land of Israel
Brod ,   USA   (09.02.12)
GOD gave and restored the Land of Israel to the Jewish Nation. Why would Israel tolerate Jew cleansing (eviction) in the Land of Israel? It is time Israel says NO to the dark forces from within and without that continue to persecute and cleanse Jews even from their own Land of Israel.
21. Palestinians for the settlements
Maher Dwalih ,   Nablus   (09.02.12)
Settlements are good for us, Palestinians. They bring us jobs, opportunities and the possibility to connect with our bothers, Jews. Don't evacuate any more settlements, please. The deeper you are in the land, the harder will be to draw the lines of the State between us. I can hardly wati to have my Israeli ID card.
22. #18 when
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (09.02.12)
When was the last time you set foot in Zemer, Givat Koach, Mus Mus or Olash? Most people don't know even where these are, so you think they should be part of an Arab state? As for "democratic law", why did the Arab "owner" go to the High Court and not a lower court, as he should? Why were the Jews illegally forbidden from presenting their case before the court? Why did the State Attorney refuse to present the government position, and instead agreed to everything the "owner" said?
23. Migron
Larry ,   Israel   (09.02.12)
The settlement of Migron was illegal in the eyes of the High Court. That this court seeks, and does, effectively legislate time and time again under the guise of a traditional judiciary is one of the hidden and profound issues here. Another is the ideology of the leading justices, and the theology of judicial activism begun by Aharon Barak, a representative of the self-defined 'enlightened' Israel. Former Justice Barak, as Ms. Beinisch, considered himself beyond reproach and carrying a sort of divine secular mission in creating a post or non-Zionist Israel. The rest about 'medieval laws' etc., are simply straw men that block any realistic view of this sad situation.
24. Illegal?
Lila ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.02.12)
Read the facts! It's not illegal. You want illegal? Look at every olive grove next to an Arab village and you'll see dwellings in the agricultural land. No permits, no zoning, and the government is afraid of starting up with the Arabs. They know the Jews won't fight back against their "brothers." How many times do people legally PAY for a piece of land before you stop calling it illegal?
25. SHONDA!!!!!!!!!
Gideon Reader   (09.02.12)
No further comment is needed or appropriate.
26. wrong
edward   (09.02.12)
Actually in February 1989 at the United Nations Security Council, the PLO representative publicly acknowledged recognition from 94 states.
27. This is the END of Isreal
david ,   ny   (09.02.12)
Once Jews can't live in their own land we are done, you might as well close up shop now. and all in the name of justice !
