ALBERTO   (09.02.12)
3. Wouldn t it be nice if in Israel...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (09.02.12)
secular Jews would wear a Kippa to show their opposition to antiharedism, which is one of the today s greatest plague in Israel. The headlines are focused on all the flaws in Haredi society instead of talking of their humane qualities, which ought to inspire the Secular society. For example, their warm family life, the care to their elderly ,accompanying the sick in hospitals 24 hours a day, respect of the elderly and teachers and so on.
4. Now this is one flash mob I can agree with

9. 3
zionist forever   (09.02.12)
WELL SAID The anti haredism is justified at times but 90% of the time its the secular population acting as though there is no place for these religious people who dress funny in a secular Israel.
10. #3 + they teach children responsibllity
GiveHaredimCredit ,   Jerusalem Israel   (09.02.12)
You could mention also that they teach their children at a very very young age to be responsible for their younger siblings you see Haredi children of 8-10 pushing a baby carriage on the way to the market & they are assigned duties in the home as well . I am secular but the secular could learn a lot from the Haredi and National religious lifestyle. Their society is not perfect if they would only become more part of general society I feel their influence would be much greater on the general public and socieity.
11. How many byystanders helped him ?
"TheNewGermany"? ,   Jerusalem Israel   (09.02.12)
Kudos to this happening" But It would be interesting to know how many Germans were there at the moment and how many came to defend them or has indifference and worse still the norm in the "New Germany
12. to # 3 ORA
David ,   Herzlia,Israel   (09.02.12)
Haredim are always asking secular people to understand them, why they do not want to go the army, why they want women to stay in the back of the bus, why they do not work and support themselves and their families ( not all haredim of course, some do ) why they throw stones at "secular" cars driving on saturday, and hundred of other things, and you think that by secular wearing kippot will make it all go away. what about haredim contributing some of their precious time by serving just 2 days a week in the army for 3 years, come on ORA you have a hutzpa to say the secular people do not respect their teachers and elders, do not volunteer in hospitals, do not have warm family life... who gave you the right to critize secular people, you are really a very HUTZPANIT person. By the way the greatest plague in Israel is the one that makes people not go to work but live off the secular ( payers of taxes and servers in the army)
13. #3 Wouldnt is be nice if in Isreal....
Ari ,   Israel   (09.02.12)
Haradiem would serve in the IDF, work, not bring all of Israel to a welfare state? It would be nice if two people in Israel could get married with out a board of Rabbis deciding if your Jewish enough.
14. Heroic in a photostudio...
Helge ,   Germany   (09.02.12)
... but not in public in Xberg... especially our desastrous mayor.
15. There is hope
tiki ,   belgium   (09.02.12)
I wrote last week that If the Germans had learned anything from their past, this was the thing they had to do. They did. Bravo!
16. this is the unfortunate reality
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (09.02.12)
sigh
17. #3,12,&13
chaya ,   netanya   (09.02.12)
how do we expect the world to accept us if we ourselves are checking into each others' flaws... this report supposed to show germany's opposition to anti-semitism! it amazes me always how people can turn a positive thing around. sad....
18. Heartfelt thanks to the German people who participated
PETER SM ,   MELBOURNE   (09.02.12)
19. Bravo and thank you those Germans who participated
Alan ,   SA   (09.02.12)
20. 12 David,my intention was not ...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (09.02.12)
G-D forbid to criticise the Secular Jews.Sorry if i expressed myself wrongly. The Secular are known for contributing to Israel by their scientific knowledge, and the Haredi contribution are their humane qualities, this doesn t take away that in the orthodox society we find scientific people, and in the Secular society we find very humane persons. Regarding Haredi s not working is not true.Women are working ! !. in families with many children ,both parents having full time jobs is not realistic. Thanks to the Haredi huge birth rate, Jews are the majority in Israel .Not to underestimate.
21. 10 I agree with you,and hope...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (09.02.12)
that one day we will be AM EHAD.
22. 9 Thank you for your appreciation.
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (09.02.12)
23. Big Deal-I just read that 150 demonstr How many wernt Jews??
Alan ,   SA   (09.02.12)
24. No.3 To get repect you also have to give it.
Vicky ,   Ashkelon Israel   (09.02.12)
I am sick of being told how I should be nice to you when you are not willing to give it to me. If I want to wear trousers or short sleeves it does not mean that I am not observant. W£hen we visit your houses we show respect by dressing in an appropriate manner. BUT I am expected to also follow your codes when in my house. I would never dream of asking you to dress my way in my house. So who is the most disrespectful and why do you NOT tolerate my way. After all we all follow the same fundamental belief in Eloheim!
25. #24 - Ora's always respectful and friendly.
Henry from New York ,   By the Roman Ghetto   (09.02.12)
26. The attack was done by muslims like in France last time.
Efraim ,   in Virginia   (09.02.12)
Germany (Berlin) has many muslims. They have trouble with them just like in England or France. I am witness. 4 of them tried to approach us in a bad way in the metro underground when they saw my star of david around my neck. My girlfriend was with me so I didnt make a fuss. Had I been with someone else or by myself, I would have lashed out and let them have it. They were throwing insults at us in Arabic. Could be the were "palestinians". This was back im 1999, so nothing new here.
27. 10 , give haredim credit [ for what ? ]
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (09.02.12)
Do you know that the Road safety agency recommends that NO child under 9 should cross a street alone ? And here we see , often , smaller children taking their little siblings to cheder or school . It's IRRESPONSABILITY . I witnessed also a secular mother shouting at her boy who did'nt cross the street , it was red for them !
28. # 3 want to impose her "lifestyle" on SANE Israelis
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (09.02.12)
29. 20 , Human qualities ? living at our expense
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (09.02.12)
spitting on girls , throwing stones on cars, insulting police officers , not contributing to the State , etc etc . Yeah , great human qualities ...
30. #12 - Pretzels
Henry from New York ,   Under the Tuscan Clouds   (09.02.12)
When did Ora say that secular Israelis do not do those things? She did not. You appear to have taken what she said and twisted it into her saying that the qualities she was referring to are absent in secular Israelis when she said no such thing.
